“About 9 months ago I had another local shop build a heavy duty transmission for my F250. It began to hang in second gear or shift harsh from 2-3. The shop that built the transmission only gave me a 2 month warranty and dismissed the problem because "there were no codes".
I spoke with Tracy originally and decided to have Al give a second opinion. Al and Tracy were both class acts.
Al was trying to find a problem that he didn't create. He thought it was a shift solenoid and replaced it. It helped, but did not completely fix the issue. We narrowed it down to the transmission tuning.
Al had a lot of time into searching for the problem. Given that the solenoid did not completely fix the issue he only charged me for parts and fluids and ate the labor cost. He didn't have to do that, but chose to. That speaks volumes on his character.
I would absolutely go back for future needs and recommend Quick Shift to someone needing transmission work.”
