“I almost always find something good.1/2/2026 found a lovely small Haviland dish, beautiful blue floral pattern. Also a round, solid cherry wood side table that with a little love will serve me well. I'm sure its 70-80 years old. I also donate gently used furniture and appliances. (Sometimes left-over construction supplies.) I always feel so good knowing that I help those working at Habitat, so they can generously give of their time and caring to help less fortunate and deserving people. A mission that I applaud.”
“Been here three times. You have to pick up an appointment card starting at 8:00 a.m. in the morning which is easy for me because I live close. They give you a list of what they have available that day and you check off the items you wish to receive. They have canned food and some frozen meats. Sometimes they have eggs and milk. I like how you don't have to wait in lines outside. But you do have to go there twice in one day. Once to get your appointment card and then later to pick up your items.”
“United way does so much for our area. They help folks, not giving handouts, but having programs that help teach people how to deal with rough times in life. There are so many great stories thanks to United Way”
“I believe what this place stands for and does to help homeless, helpless,hopeless, and family-less and/or non-supportive friends or family tied woman of all ages and all walks of life and helps them not only hv a roof over there heads for up to 90 days to gv them time to destress, get focused, and encouraged as well giving the ladies the right information and connections to get themselves established in housing, a job, transportation and they try to point the ladies in the right direction to self sufficiency! ☺️”
“After a neighbor told me that this location was doing a food giveaway with a lot of variety I decided to check it out for myself. All of volunteers were very friendly and they actually did have a nice selection to choose from, including meat. I would suggest bringing several boxes or bags to carry your food in.”
“I first would like to say that I have seen lots of positive changes in the store. The staff seems to be working very hard and keeping the store stocked. The prices are ok and understand all the positive thing in the community goodwill does. I would also like to say how wonderful the new manager is, I think her name was Anita. She was so polite and nice but seemed to have a ton to do. I would recommend this store. Would like to see the store a little more modern though.”

You could tell they are passionate about their jobs, and it shows. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us on the journey. We can sleep well knowing my adult son is in a safe place, and he loves it.”
“I like shopping at Goodwill and thrift stores, some are good and some aren’t, like anything else. This particular store has a lot of brand new clothes at really good prices. Yesterday 3/5/23, was the first time I visited here and I was impressed, they had a pink tag 50% off sale and I was able to get a beautiful brand new two piece suit, 3 ties, a pair of pants and a Columbia coat for $42.00, all new items, so there’s some great deals to be found here, it’s a large store so allow yourself some time to look through everything.”
“I got myself into a situation where I had to have faith that LHS members would come through with about 80k for a shoulder replacement surgery that I received a couple of years ago. It was a bit awkward because they changed their policy after I had that debt and I was pretty scared that I might be left high and dry. It took longer than I was comfortable with (they changed their policy on that too, in favor of members) but at the end of the day y'all came through. I just contacted LHS yesterday and was informed that the doctors were paid in full. Once again. Jesus and his children came through. Thank you so much! It's such a huge relief to have that off my shoulders! Amen!”
“I have been going to conquest for the last six years. My counselor Mrs Denise Is absolutely one of the most caring kind Unjudgmental humans I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. She genuinely cares about her patience and takes the time to listen to me every visit. When my life was at its worst, she was there for me. I look forward to every visit I have with her. if anyone is looking for help and needs A counselor who truly cares I suggest you ask for her. I have been six years, clean and sober from opiates, and and she has played a big part in my recovery.”

When you show up for your appointment they take you right in rather than making you sit in the waiting room for an hour, which is a pet peeve of mine! You also don't have to wait a long time for an appointment.”
