“I love this place; the owners are not only fantastic at crafting the best croissants but also very approachable and kind. The cozy environment at the shop invites to relax and enjoy the little pleasures in life.”
“This antique store is HUGE. we definitely needed more time than we had to walk around the whole store. Lots of unique and eclectic finds. Friendly staff and I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again!”
“I have been working with the Velvet Cricket for about 5 years. On average, I do about 1000 per month in business with them. James and the other staff go out of their way to be helpful to clients. It does take about 3 months to get money, but the truth is, that is how long the cycle takes. James is very transparent about that. For my money, I am very happy with the cricket and feel they go above and beyond. These other reviewers seem to believe that they have a full understanding of how the business should be run when their understanding is somewhat amateurish.”
“I brought this painting of a Navy ship I was stationed on to Old World because it had a nasty puncture wound in it from when it was shipped to me several years ago. The team gave me a quote within a few days and was always quick to respond throughout the process. Job was done earlier than I expected, and I was blown away at how good it looks. They exceed all expectations. They can be trusted with things that are important to you, and they will do a great job! Thank you to the entire team there!”
“This is a pretty decent antique mall. The prices are a little high but they always have some interesting and unique stuff for sale. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of vintage, retro and antique things.”
“Purchased an expensive outdoor wind spinner before Christmas and discovered it had defective blade alignment after assembling. Brought it back and owner corrected. Now works properly. Thank you!”
“Very very 70's. They have almost exclusively pieces from 1970-1990, which are periods I am not particularly interested in, but if you are, then this is your place. One thing, everything is extremely expensive for a store like this.”
“This was my first visit and I was amazed. I was looking for bling for my upcoming runway show and boy do they have quite the selection. The prices were reasonable for what you're getting also. I wound up purchasing a bracelet, tiara, 2 pairs of earrings, a necklace and some invents. Im definitely will return.”
“Easily one of my favorite stops on the trip, and not just because it shares my name.
The man running the shop, Nick, was a blast to talk to. Easily spent an hour chatting about everything under the sun and made sure to purchase some wonderful retro art.
Will stop in for sure every time I'm in Cincinnati.”
“Astute Furnishings is a lovely shop filled with classic quality pieces, interesting accents from mid century and some with a touch of whimsy. James is very knowledgeable and a delight to work with. I suggest stopping in if you value quality antiques as well as one of a kind pieces for your home or office.”
“Love this neat & clean but jam packed shop of several rooms full of excellent quality used furniture, most old enough to be made better than what you can buy new. Lots of interesting and unique decorative items; always fun to browse, and my go-to when I need to replace or add a good piece to my home or office.HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❣️❣️ ”
“Great experience in buying an item from out of state and arranging for delivery. Sales experience was smooth (as was a few inquires in the weeks leading up to the purchase), and owners even helped connect us with and facilitate arrangements with a shipping company for delivery within a week.”
“I was very impressed with Mr. Leach’s willingness to educate me. We were trying to decide which items to sell and which to donate to charity. Even though he personally didn’t need any of our items, he still took the time to advise us on each item. We needed chairs for our dining room and his selection was quite high end. The chairs we are buying will enhance our dining room quite nicely.”
