“I hadn't expected to come in today, but my dog, River, knows how to get to Petco, and while we were on our walk, insisted on stopping in (she loves the attention and doggie ice cream :-)).
While we were there, I wanted to get her a nail trim, but because I hadn't expected a Petco visit, I didn't have my phone with me and couldn't access River's vaccination records. Lauren went so far above and beyond to help me try to access them in other ways, and I can't express how much I appreciated her help. She was incredibly caring, patient, and empathetic throughout the whole process, which turned out to be much more complicated than I had expected. This is clearly not just a job to her. She genuinely cares about animals and the people who love them.
I didn't get her name, but the other person at the register was also very kind and gave River treats while we waited.
Tiana has made me and River feel just as welcome on other visits. She has been so incredibly sweet to River both times she has helped us, and River absolutely loves her.
Between Lauren and Tiana, Petco has gained a very loyal customer.
My only complaint is that they've been so wonderful to River that even though we live about a mile away, River regularly insists that we go out of our way to Petco when I think we're done with an already long walk, and makes it very clear which direction we're going. 😂
Lauren and Tiana are both extraordinary team members, and I really hope Petco recognizes them for the kind of experience they create for customers and their pets.”

“Kayte has been grooming our girls for the 8 years! Tessa & Tiki get super excited when they hear me say Kayte’s Name!! I cannot tell the girls that they are going until the moment we’re ready to leave because of the excitement and yowling, which continues in the car until we arrive!! She cares for them as if they were her own, and we would never trust them with anyone else! Them loving to go, speaks volumes on how they are cared for when they go to see her and they feel amazing when they’re done and they love to show it off!!!”

“Truly a won shop stop for pet wellness and enrichment! Was able to speak with one of the owners on my last visit and they shared their vetting process for every product from toys and harnesses to treats and food. Incredibly wide selection of pet food in all forms raw, wet, frozen, and clean, gently cooked kibble to fit all budgets. Don't forget the dog wash station across the parking lot. They even recommended local holistic veterinarians for me. Such a blessing to have in Northeast Ohio. Can't think of a reason to shop anywhere else.”
“The Grateful Dog Bakery is truly the best…such a gem!
I went to the internet to hopefully find a local doggie bakery to order a birthday cake for our Welsh Terrier, Prim, and am so glad I came across The Grateful Dog in North Ridgeville! They offered very quick turnaround on our cake (I could’ve ordered as soon as next-day!), and the online portal offered all kinds of sizes, flavors, and customizations. We went with a peanut butter cake and honey-vanilla frosting. Prim loved it!
Fred reached out to me via email the same day I ordered to confirm everything, and was even able to bump up my pickup date at my request.
In a world full of chain stores…find yourself a local shop to support! Beyond the birthday cakes, The Grateful Dog also offers a wide variety of homemade, fresh-baked cookies and treats for our furry friends. Very fairly priced, too, I might add.

My son referred me to Animal Health Center and I was absolutely impressed with my entire experience. Everyone is so welcoming! Dr. Baumann is such a warm, caring, and knowledgeable vet! My dog was thoroughly checked over and was not rushed out like our previous veterinary practice would have. All of our questions were answered and I left knowing my dog was going to be okay. Our dog was notorious for roaming the neighborhood and Hickory Ridge fenced in approx 3 acres and spent valuable time in training our Bella. I would highly recommend Hickory Ridge.”

“I want to recognize the staff member that helped my daughters and I get gerbils on Sunday 2/22. I believe her name was Megan (hope I got that right!), and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She truly loves animals and it was a pleasure to be helped by her. We looked at them for a while before getting them and I witnessed how hard Megan works to look after the smal animals and fish in the store, keeping their needs met until they find the right home. I was impressed by the siamese gerbils, very neat looking. All of the animals and fish there were cute and healthy looking! We were able to find everything we needed to get them started. We are really enjoying our new, and friendly pets!”
“I take my Newfie here for baths/blowouts and I couldn't really ask for more. They provide towels, shampoo/conditioner and if you choose, they also have combs, brushes, nail clippers and even pet cologne. Great price for an awesome service!”

“I love Petco and I shop there often as I do cat and kitten rescue plus have other pets and fish. Never have a problem, except for one night I came in 45 minutes before closing. I had picked out 3 fish that I wanted to buy. All were in the same tank. When I asked an associate for help(he was stacking bags of dog food right next to the fish area) he said he could not sell me the fish because they were busy and he was told not to do any more fish or pet sales for the night. So he did not get the fish for me. Sadly,I went home without them.”

“This is a large store that is well stocked. It has a large fish department, a dog hotel, pet groomers, and has cats to adopt. There is a very large cat food section. You can buy hamsters, mice, and reptiles. There are a lot of dog toys and a large dog section for food and other necessities. There is plenty of parking in the mall parking lot. This is a very spacious store and the staff is friendly and helpful.”
“What marvelous experience I had as I walked into Petland in Parma. A friendly welcome and ready to show you all the fur babies that are available. I was able to meet Laura; she is the Manager at this location. Charming, friendly and attentive as I expressed my interest in 2 Shih-tzus. I have them for more than 20yrs. Yes, Rockyjoe lasted in my care for that long. I am searching for siblings. She asked all the right question and the awesome responses to my question. We made arrangements to keep in touch since I have plenty of time in the pursuit of my doggies. Wonderful just wonderful!! I met Aubry, I can see she is a busy bee, super attentive to the door greeting customers and overall enjoying what she is doing. Is hard to find young ladies that actually work and doing a great job. All in this location need to acknowledge for their contributions to Petland. Outside on the wall is the name, Petland, however WITHOUT the employees that are there giving face and uplifting the company by their FABULOUS performance WOULD be nothing without them. Just a name on the wall.
How I got to Petland began with a call. Selena was my first contact. She listened attentively as I told her my story. I heard in her tone and voice, how empathetic she was at that time. She is like the walking computer of the place. Her knowledge and passion for was she does was noted. I thought she was a manager. Well, with the wonderful interaction I had with her, left me so at peace and motivated that this group of young ladies and assisting me in finding my fur babies. I see Selena progressing up the ladder to greater things. Aubry also even though I did not have that much of interaction. If you are searching for a 4-legged companion, THIS is the place to GO!!!!! I am so happy and excited to do my business with PETLAND PARMA!!!!”

“Always a great experience! The prices always beat competitors and team members are reliably helpful and kind. This location has great inventory without being overwhelming and had what I needed for my dog, cat, and chinchilla. I haven't used the pet washing station but it seems like it would make bath time a less tedious experience than doing at home. And they partner with a local shelter so you can help out and pay (donate) for some food/supplies for the shelter animal of your choice! Such a great store. Thank you for all you do for pets and pet parents!”
