My husband and I travel for work, so knowing that our vehicles are in good working order for cross country drives is an important part of our lives. And knowing which places we can go that are welcome to folks who are “not from around here” is always a top priority, because there are plenty of folks out there who will take advantage of someone they see as “different.” Because of all this, I am going to let our entire ren faire community know where they should all be going for checkups on their vehicles before we all move south for the winter. They got us into the shop immediately, gave us a quote that was several hundred dollars less than competitors, and the owner even offered to give me a ride home so I wouldn't have to walk. Not only was the price much lower than competitors, but they did a full inspection, sent me photographs of everything, AND the owner called me to explain the inspection results AFTER the shop was already closed. My diesel oil change and fuel filter service cost was nearly $160 more than the estimate I was given for the services. I have purchased several trucks and thousands of dollars of service from Germain Ford but If this is the way I will be treated by this dealership then I will never return.Update - 4 stars: Germain reached out to me and told me that they had indeed overcharged me due to a "glitch" in the system. They not only credited the overcharge back to me but also gave me reward points for the aggravation. I don't know how the overcharge happened but they made it right this time, so I'm changing my rating.”
