“I was at the Williamsburg location. Their was such a helpful cashier their. Her name was Samantha. She helped me locate the exact item I needed after coming to the checkout. She kindly walked me to the item and added the 4 cents I needed for my order. She did outstanding customer service. I hope her manager can see this review.”

“Doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside was clean and the isles were stocked and I found what I was looking for easy enough. Would have given five stars if the cashier had been nicer. I greeted her and asked how she was doing and she basically ignored me and I thought well ok perhaps she didn't hear me, so when I was leaving I told her to have a good day and I got nothing back! How rude lady, and I know she could speak because I heard her talk with a coworker.”

“I love the newly remodeling of this store. This is the only Dollar General that is always been so clean and well organized. The employee's are so friendly and very helpful.”
“You can find things marked down in a central location in mid-aisle as well as within the aisles. They were cleaning the floor when I was there so it smelled nice. Placed seemed in order. I like this Family Dollar. It is in the strip mall by Subway.”
“Every time I go to Dollar General, they always have the things I need, and they have them in cheap prices. They have a variety of candy and a lot of drinks as well. I went here with my dad yesterday and got snacks and some soft drinks, and they had many in stock and for cheap prices. The service is for the most part good, the only thing I would say about the service is that sometimes it seems like nobody is in the store, it takes some time for someone to show up to the register. I would recommend going here when you need some snacks for you, your family or your kids.”
“While this store is somewhat outdated, don't be fooled by the front, it is actually huge inside. I did not wander around much as I was just dropping off a pre paid label FedEx package. The employees were really friendly and informative about this super convenient FedEx service! Aside from dropping off packages, it seems like you could really get anything you needed here. The biggest downside is that the parking lot is very small and awkward, but luckily it's never that busy.”

“Good place if you are just shopping for the staple household items or looking for party/decor, but if you are after the viral stuff you see on TikTok, this is not the place. That is fine though, we can still get our household goods here and that is all that matters! I take a star off for two reasons:
1. Cleanliness, sometimes the place can be a bit of a cramped disaster. I have come in before and can barely maneuver the cart around.
2. The manager was loudly scolding some employees about phone usage on the clock and talking smack about another employee. I know this is common in the workplace, we all do it, but do it behind closed doors and not on the floor where the entire store can hear you.”
“employees are great, but the new store doesn't have the same inventory that the old one did. It's also harder to find what you're looking for. Prices and employees are still great.”
“Kind of mad today, picked something up from an end cap that was supposed to be 20% off..it was a LEGO item..rang up regular price. Cashier said it was because it said Lego City instead of whatever the sale sign said...well, there were all kinds of Lego City items on that shelf... why???If they are not on sale as well, do not put them with advertised items..now they just lost my business because they did something silly like that. I would much rather sell something as to lose a customer's business all together if I were them...I guess that's what I get for thinking ?”

“I see alot of reviews on here bashing this place because the self checkout closed. As if your time is so precious. God forbid you wait 5 minutes longer. News flash geniuses, IF PEOPLE DIDNT STEAL AND ROB THE PLACE BLIND, THEN SELF CHECKOUT WOULD STILL BE OPEN!! It's called loss prevention. Should Dollar General just continue to take losses so that you can hurry back to whatever mundane activity you were engaged in???? Get real. Stop being selfish and stand there and quit crying. This place has always been accommodating to me and my children. They do whatever is within their means to make our experience a pleasant one. The store is immaculate and the bathrooms are so clean, sometimes I have a picnic in the center of the floor. As far as closing early, I swear that's an anomaly because I'm always just barely making it there and the doors are open. I'm not playing devils advocate here, but nowadays people are just such cry baby's. You are gonna let the ONE THING a place does that upsets you, overshadow the multitude of things they've done right by you??????
Something is wrong with that picture. Would you be so hard on yourself??? I doubt it. Stop crying and use that five minutes you're standing there waiting for an associate as time to reflect on your life and the things you may need to change or tighten up on. Hell, you may have an epiphany and become a new, better person as a result. Then what???? Thank god for that five minutes of idle time or you'd have never found yourself. I bet you wouldn't thank Dollar General or even attribute any of that spiritual awakening to the time you spent in line while shopping there. But by God they better not lock that door before 10 on the nose!!! Have you taken the time to look and see what time almost every other Dollar General closes?? You people are extremely bored and lame. I'm not much better because I just typed all of this. I couldn't help it though. The gripes you people have are the weirdest,fakes, annoying grieveances I've ever read and it really irritated me. I've been in stores with HORRIBLE customer service. This ain't one of em. Get real.”
