They have a very wide selection of new and old hardware items, some that can't be found anywhere else.Do yourself a favor and visit Burkhardt pro hardware. Lowe’s, Home Depot and Hyde Park Lumber all refused to make the six needed cuts as it hadn’t been purchased there. WHAT! Silverton Hardware did the job quickly and for an amazing price. Always check this little neighborhood gem first!”

“Amazing customer service! I started to buy my mower at Lowe’s, but went to Ace instead because the staff seems friendly whenever I’ve shopped there for smaller purchases. Ended up buying my Ego mower there, and found out the battery wasn’t able to handle my yard on a single charge. I emailed the local store and asked if I could exchange/upgrade to the newer model with a bigger battery. Tim, the owner, was super helpful and he and Bill the manager let me swap them out with no hassles and were super friendly along the way. If you’ve ever returned anything to Lowe’s or Home Depot, you’ll know a friendly return experience is something you don’t expect. Plan to shop at Ace more often.”

“I had a great experience working with McCabe Lumber on our front porch project. They were incredibly helpful with material selection, quantity estimation, and overall guidance throughout the build. They supplied our composite deck materials, soffit PVC components, and tongue-and-groove ceiling beadboard, all of which were high quality and exactly what we needed.

“Customer service was great they go by appointments only so don't get here early due to very limited parking. The parking lot can get tight with all the cars but if you know what you're doing it's not a problem. Unloading time took an hour and It's one way in an out if you have a 7:15 am appointment you can park here overnight in dock 3 or 4 if it's available.”
“Fantastic little hardware store with all the essentials you might need. Everyone has always been super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The prices are great as well. I went to Lowes to buy 12 gauge Romex wire and it was $59 for 25 feet, and you can only buy in pre-set lengths. At Northside Hardware you can buy by the foot, and the prices are far better, $1.05 for 12 gauge, or around $26 for 25 feet, a $33 saving over Lowes. We're very lucky to have such a great hardware store in the heart of Northside!”

“I needed a couple of things that could be had probably at most of the big box stores. I go to those places when I feel the need to have someone not be helpful, someone who thinks that be cause they know where hammers are or for someone to say, "I don't know ". That's not the feeling at McCabe's. Someone actually pleasantly said Good Morning. I was staring fascinated at stuff I have looked at for years, and I am just not in a hurry. And that seems to be fine with the people in the store. I got my stuff, checked out and and was satisfied. I always enjoy a hardware store. I will be back to buy paint or something. Thank you!”

“The newer Rockler store is a really nice modern store. Very helpful staff and they have a great selection. One thing that bugs me is Rockler often offers 20% off one purchased item specials online, but hardly ever in their stores. They use to have that 20% "in store" deal when the store was in it's original location. I miss that.UPDATE 2024 Rockler is back to doing discounts in store including the 20% off from time to time. Thanks!”
“I went in to buy a lockbox. I was very surprised to see how large of a selection they had. I was expecting 1-2 items but there were at least 5 in the general size I was looking for.
While looking I was very surprised to see solar panels and other higher end items on the shelves. (Of course in the past I only went looking for cheap tools so maybe that's on me.”
