1546 W Sylvania Ave, ToledoWe stopped in as we were passing by the area. We like to check out random (non-chain) pet stores and shops when traveling. Really cool little place, down-to-earth staff, eager to help out. The pig that lives in the store is vocal and sweet and a bit bossy, we were told, and Peapod the Amazon was friendly and talkative, but read his sign, he's a biter! If we were more local, we would likely make this our go-to store as they carried every brand we give our pets, and at the same or better prices than what we pay now. Great shop with a lot to offer and worth checking out despite the area having a bit of an uneasy feeling to it. 5 stars without question.

Paws & Remember of Northwest Ohio
1021 Warwick Ave, ToledoMy cat unexpectedly passed away on January 9th and I was able to take her body in to be cremated same day at Paws & Remember. This was the third animal I had cremated here, the other two being 2 100 lb Saint Bernards. Their cremation services cost in the 300’s and I received boxes with their names beautifully scripted on them as well as their paw prints. To have my 4 lb cat cremated, it cost me $220 and I received her tiny bag of ashes in a wooden box that doesn’t even have her name on it and no paw print ? When I walked in to drop her body off a man took me over to a table, put a yellow paper in front of me to sign and said it would be $220. I assumed for that price that I would receive a box with her name on it as well as her paw print like I did for my 2 dogs. I am so sad and beyond disappointed. I’m hoping when I call them tomorrow that it was just a misunderstanding and they just forgot to put her paw print in the bag and forgot to script her name on her box.Update: I called Paws & Rememeber on Thursday but did not receive a call back so I stopped in to talk to them about the situation. When I was there to drop my cat off to have her cremated there was like of communication and a misunderstanding about what I wanted included with her cremation service. The worker did not explain different options, such as a paw print or having her name engraved on the box and I also did not think to ask any questions when I was filling out the paperwork. The worker thought I just wanted a basic cremation, which is $220 and only includes her ashes in a box. The owner was present during the conversation and apologized for the situation and offered to have her name engraved on the box at no charge and gave me 2 keepsakes for her ashes since her body was already incinerated and there was no way to have a paw print done. He did not charge me for any of it. I changed my 1 star review to a 5 star review due to the amount of empathy I received and for them trying to rectify the situation.

He is a very anxious dog and Nyx took such great care of him and took his anxiety into consideration thru the whole experience. I highly recommend this groomer and Pet Supplies on Talmadge. Front staff are also very nice and welcoming. A very warm environment to shop. The front lady even gave my pup a treat on the way out. ?

Every time I bring my boys in for a nail trim the staff come out into the lobby to do their nails so they aren't around the other dogs. I've been taking my dogs here for several years now and have never had an issue. Staff is wonderful and friendly. One of my boys doesn't do well getting his nails trimmed and they always bribe him with treats! would definitely recommend this place.

Our last groomer recently retired and today was our first appointment with a new groomer and new location. I’m typically leary of new places but so far I’m really glad I gave a doggie doo a chance. I’m happy with my dogs results and the time frame of the service provided. I liked Paige and I will try and stick with the same groomer for all future appointments because that will allows a new relationship to build which always makes my dog more comfortable because she don't like being left anywhere. I was extremely nervous for him to undergo surgery since he’s 10 years old, but all of the staff at Shoreland were phenomenal. I’m very picky about who takes care of my baby and haven’t been very impressed with other animal hospitals or vets, but I give Shoreland an 11 out of 10!! Thank you for fixing Ziggy! He’s such a happy dog now!

From the two week board and train that my 3 year old pit went to , to the advanced lessons we had with my 1 year old German Shepard Dixie. We received pictures, videos and written messages from him NIGHTLY! Always a very quick response from him when we asked questions or needed help in any way. We have gained SO MUCH knowledge and understanding of our dogs! Both of our dogs are very well trained and very responsive to the e-collar that Zeke introduced us to! I would recommend him to anyone over and over again! Thank you for giving us our wonderful babies back, very well trained! I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else! Way to go Off Leash K-9!!!

Goose was my first puppy and let me tell ya, this wild child gave us a run for our money. Goose has experienced issues with reactivity, issues with being dominant, had aggressive tendencies with numerous things and conflict aggression. Goose came in wearing a muzzle and got to leave without wearing one! Zach was our trainer and is absolutely amazing! He kept in communication with us regularly while Goose was away, provided progress photos, updates, you name it... Zach made sure to let me know about how Goose was doing. Not to mention I've had about a million questions and he has been sure to address them all. Hans was our "go home" trainer and was great too! He showed us the ropes for training at home, made me feel confident and comfortable too! Goose has not been easy, but I'm so glad I decided to put him through the board and train. Goose has been great at home so far and has shown us all his progress he's made. I feel like I can breathe now and don't feel as stressed! Learning how to mange my pup, work with him and me learning to has been an amazing journey so far. The training obviously continues and probably always will for Goose, but that's okay! We are more than happy to put the work in for my handsome boy. It doesn't matter if you think your dog needs training or not, they should have it anyways! Glass City has been a life saver!

402 Broadway St, ToledoThe subs are absolutely outstanding, built on homemade bread, homemade goat cheese, and local jams that make everything taste fresh, intentional, and made with love, instead of the cookie cutter feel you get with chains. The ingredients are clearly high quality, and the overall vibe feels very New York in the best way. Best subs in Toledo.They have also reubens, paninis, and even a cuban style sandwich.
The space is part of the experience too. It’s set in an old mixed use brick building with a rustic, eclectic feel that makes you want to hang out and take your time. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the whole place feels like a genuinely safe, comfortable spot to be. I'm mad at myself for not discovering this place sooner. If you've ever thought about stopping, do it. You won't regreit it.

5250 Hill Ave, ToledoDo you want a cat who will snuggle? Go here. Absolutely the friendliest bunches of cats. You get a genuine feel for who is social, that they get along with other animals, who is a couch potato, etc. There are downsides to being completely free roaming, especially when MVSaP takes on some of the saddest abandoned colonies and cases, but I think it’s worth it when they clearly don’t feel as cornered and are more open to meeting people. Also financial donations will go a long way in making their remodeling goals a reality.
