“They have new management fairly recently which really helped the communication and face to face experience. However, I go there to get quality service at a reasonable price. I GET JUST THAT! I think they must pay and treat their auto technicians fairly because they retain them. I could NOT be more pleased with the total experience. They don't try to oversell or push for things not essential. Keep up the good work! And, the REAL small business quality will beat the large auto dealerships hands down. I highly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for an honest assessment of the repairs or service needed.”
“Recently purchased a 2000 Jaguar XK8. It was inspected out-of-state prior to purchase with a favorable outcome; however the recent maintenance records were non-specific and this vehicle can have numerous problems if not regularly maintained. The Jag has 69k miles so I discussed with Mondo’s owner Pino, that I wanted the standard 60k extensive maintenance completed to establish a new baseline for ongoing maintenance, and some additional inspection of the timing chains. Dropped it off on Thursday and Pino assigned the job to Fred who is his specialist for Jaguar. Fred completed a full inspection of the vehicle on Friday, called to discuss the mechanical condition of the vehicle (excellent)and did recommend front pads and rotor replacement as the only additional work. No major issues were identified. Work was completed the following Monday including the brake repair, replacement of brake and transmission fluid, and the complete 60k service. The vehicle was noticeably quieter (engine, transmission and suspension) and the performance and responsiveness tremendously improved. It is a pleasure to work with people who thoroughly understand the vehicle, its potential issues, who genuinely want the vehicle to perform as intended, and to meet customer expectations for quality service. I couldn’t be more pleased and gladly recommend Mondo Car Repair to anyone with a quality, high-end foreign make.”
“Holly explains everything that needs to be done with your car and she always calls you before they do any work. I have always felt the work done on my car is justified and needed. The cost is fair and I feel a deep trust with Lee’s because of the communication and treatment of the customer. Also, they do everything they can to get your car back to you as quickly as possible. “I first went to finishing edge in 1998 for collision repair. He did a fantastic job and went over the top on taken car of my vehicle. Over the years he has taken care of our family cars. From replacing transmission, brakes, radiators , to auto collision and painting. He and his family are great friends of our family. We recently had some collision work done on the car. “I was in town from out of State and my brakes suffered a catastrophic failure. Drum brake assembly collapsed, two pins shot right through the steal back plate.
The owner is an actual mechanic, not just a part swapper. It was a rare failure on an older car. It took some welding and know-how to fix it. Got me back on the road and back to IL safely.
The bill seemed exorbitant at first, but I am a frugal cheapskate at heart haha. I expect these repairs to last the life of the car. I got home safely, and I am grateful.”
“I work out of town and could only come late in the evening. They gladly stayed late and helped me out with a Wrangler I purchased. “Went online to get a quote for tires, which was within 25 dollars of a competitor. Pat called me back and explained I could get a better tire 85,000 mile compared to 60,000 for a 5 dollars more. Dropped my vehicle off at 8am and had a call from Brian at noon that the car was done. Didn't even realize that this was the same Family that took care of my parents cars in Bedford in the past. A true family establishment that will treat you like its their own car.”
