“This place is worth driving a long ways for, even if it's just for the brats. The jalapeño and cheese bratwurst will make you take things back you never stole...”

“Very good food! Huge menu and prepared per order so food is fresh and hot! They also feature a large deli and have dairy and fresh produce. Ice cream and shakes! They also have some really neat antiques and collectables around the store and in a back room for sale! A little bit of everything!”

“This is a popular place to visit in Amish country. We drive about 60 miles several times a year to pick up great bulk food items, only to find visitors who have traveled further. One of our favorite items is found near the deli. We get a pre-assembled container that has trail bologna, cheese cubes, and crackers for $4.99. Perfect for grazing as we continue wandering.”

“I had no idea how huge this place was when we ran in "really quickly" to redeem a coupon for a free jar of jam. The jams/jellies are to the left when you enter. You have to walk past the bakery which has quite a selection of cookies, pastries, breads and other treats. I was kind of blown away by the amount of jam/canned/jarred goods offered. They had traditional flavors but also some fun ones (like one called "traffic jam" that included a variety of fruits. After this we ventured to get some popcorn. There were about 20 varieties available. I had no idea it came in so many size and color variations. We ended up buying several varieties along with some of the seasonings. Definitely looking forward to trying it! In that area was a lot of dry goods. Tons of varieties of noodles, soup mixes, meal starters and dip mixes. Being January and me being a soup lover I bought several varieties. Some you just add water or broth, some you need to add meats or veggies. Either way a fairly affordable way to make a quick meal at home. I think my favorite part of the store was the refrigerated dip section. I'm a sucker for dips (I suppose it's called "girl dinner" now but I've often had chips/pretzels/cheese/dips as my main meal. They had so many different variations of dip! I bought five different types and can't wait to try them. Hopefully they live up to how good they are. I wandered down the baking aisle and saw so many cool ingredients, flour variations and fillings. I didn't buy any this trip but definitely will keep that aisle in mind for a future trip out to Amish country. We definitely spent a lot more time and money than we expected, but since we don't know when we'll be back, it was worth the splurge.”

“Went there for the first time today en route to Millersburg. Their prepared food is way above average, great deli stuff, a pretty great selection of everything, well-priced, clean and well displayed. I will be back soon!”

“Stopped in for the first time and walked back to the deli to get a ham and swiss sandwich. The girl that made it was so careful to make it exactly as I had asked for and everything was fresh and delicious and absolutely wonderful with generous amount of meat and cheese. And there were several types of ham and Swiss cheese to choose from. My husband bought a nice little Amish Bible while we were there and they have a great selection of unique greeting cards, travel cups and other gifts. Totally worth stopping in.”

“I give it 4 stars because I love the store. I’ve lived in Kidron for the past three years and everyone there is so friendly and the prices aren’t bad. Love the fresh local meat. Would highly recommend shopping there! Now I would give it 5 stars but honestly since the restaurant has new ownership it has been very disappointing. Kidron restaurant was absolute favorite. The food was delicious, prices were affordable, the staff was friendly and inviting. Now the staff is still the same but the food is not the same at all, higher prices for less, the food isn’t the same quality as it was before. I’ve tried their new coffee drinks on two separate occasions, first I tried a caramel frappe and it was like drinking just straight caramel. Second time I ordered a pumpkin pie flavored iced coffee, first sip was so bitter so I tried stirring and the pumpkin flavoring didn’t even taste like pumpkin it tasted like pure chemicals and honestly made me sick. Stomach pains and nausea from it. All in all, I will not be coming back to the restaurant. It saddens me that it was once a great place to eat with your family and now I want nothing to do with it. They need to do a little less on improving the aesthetics and work on what they are serving.”

“Great place. Lots of products. Good prices. But they don't pay their employees nothing. $8.60 an hour. A manager makes $11.00. This is not right. Thay should have a boycott against them.”

“It's a new store, shelves are stocked and the place is clean.. Most, " not all " Dollar General stores look trashy, and there's absolutely no reason why any store should be trashy looking.”
