“Slapout was at the right place and right time when one of my kids was having a bathroom EMERGENCY on the way to Black Mesa. I was also pleasantly surprised with how good and inexpensive ($.50) the coffee was. The cashier couldn't take a credit card for such a small amount so she offered to let me have it for free, but I got some change out of the car because of how grateful I was.The store was also very clean, the people working were friendly, and they had a decent variety of goods for sale for being so remote. They even have a pretty robust menu of made-to-order items like burgers, fries, and breakfast burritos.I was looking forward to stopping by again on the way home to try one of their burgers, but was disappointed to find they are closed on Sunday. I'll catch them next time though!This will definitely be on my itinerary the next time I'm driving through the panhandle.”
