“I’ll still give credit where credit is due and leave a 5-star review.
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and made the setup process easy. The facility is very clean, well-maintained, and they were upfront from the beginning that rates could increase throughout the year. I appreciated the honesty.
That said, there were a few things worth pointing out.
Within just a few months, our monthly bill increased by 75%. That includes the $11 insurance on our unit. We did receive a letter notifying us that our rate would be increasing on the next billing cycle, so it wasn’t a surprise but the size of the increase definitely was. With this we moved out and went with another facility without any increases.
We had also heard that Extra Space Storage offers military discounts. Unfortunately, we were told this particular location was the only one that didn’t participate. No big deal. However, a couple of months later, a neighbor mentioned she had received a military discount at this same facility. Policies may have changed, but it was a little confusing.
Lastly, this is apparently the only location, according to the front desk, that still hasn’t implemented remote gate access through the app. I was really hoping it would have that feature because entering a long gate code every visit gets old. The Extra Space website advertises remote gate access, but unfortunately this location doesn’t have it available yet.
Overall, it’s a clean, secure facility with excellent customer service. Just be aware that the introductory rate is exactly that an introductory rate. Significant price increases due to “market conditions” appear to be part of the business model, so be sure to factor that into your decision when comparing storage facilities.

She connected me to Mrs Jamie, which I’ve talked to Mrs Jamie before like last year when I was about to lose my storage ?and that was the time Mr. Kirk passed away, ? MS Jamie honored what he said about saving my storage units, it’s kind of tough for home health aids (me) when we lose our clients, we lose a nice amount of our income, but both times Mrs Jamie has helped me save both of my storages from auction and I’m very grateful. also I’d like to say I was grateful for Mr. Kirk when he worked here my storage got broken into and he saw the whole thing on camera he had my back I’m so sorry for you all loss. he’s missed?”

I have changed my review several times now, but I am leaving the majority of it up. The management of this location reached out to me and waived all fees, they also apologized. I appreciate both things very much, it was a hectic Halloween.

YOU CAN LITERALLY CROSS UNITS.
The photos attached are of the wall inbetween my unit and the one adjacent, and the wall has a giant GAP IN IT. Unbelievable. The photos is of the back of someone else’s unit that you can stick your whole arm into.
I am extremely unhappy with this place. I went today to end the lease on my unit, and it is FULL of someone else’s stuff. My unit has been locked the entire time, and the manager on duty confirmed for me that my code hadn’t been used in 60 days. He also confirmed for me that he could not or would not check the cameras for that time period. My options as he laid them out were to pay for an extra time and clean out the unit myself (again NOT MY THINGS) or pay a cleaning fee of anywhere from $50 to $500.
Someone entered my unit and left a bunch of refuse in it. They have so far refused to acknowledge that security issue or even attempt to repair it. The manager offered to work with me by saying if I cleaned up most of it he would get the rest and not charge me. I appreciate this effort, but I will not accept the fact that someone threw their stuff in my unit and GOT INTO my unit when I wasn’t there.
Not a safe place to store your items, and if things go wrong don’t expect them to do anything more than the bare minimum.”

“Have been renting a storage unit here for just over a year. Admittedly did not check it enough and the lock rusted shut. Talked to George, and he was able to cut the lock (free of charge), and get me going again with almost no notice. They have always had great customer service, and I appreciate them going above and beyond. Location is always clean and well maintained as well. Thanks, George!”
