The tanks were spotless, the axolotls were healthy and clearly well cared for, and the husband-and-wife team who owns the shop were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. They answered all of my questions without a hint of judgment and made me feel confident and excited about bringing my new little water dragon home.
Their prices were very reasonable, and the level of care and customer service was truly above and beyond.
If you’re thinking about getting an axolotl, this is the place to go. Hands down the best experience ever!

I am on crutches as I recover from a foot injury and find the simplest activities are now mobility challenges. This was never more true than yesterday when it was time for my cat’s booster immunizations. I contacted the store to request assistance with transporting my pet’s carrier into and out of the store, and the staff went above and beyond to address my circumstances. Not only did an associate come to my car, before and after the walk-in clinic, they also provided a chair for me to sit in while I waited for my turn. They carried my pet every step of the way, making my experience easier and safer for me. Their kindness and patience is greatly appreciated. I will definitely be a future customer.

Mandy and Roxy are always so welcoming upon arrival, which makes the whole experience even better. Kristen also goes out of her way to pop in and say hi, and that personal touch really means a lot.
Our dogs always come home looking amazing and smelling so fresh and clean. I’m especially grateful for the job Shelby did on Nova and Chance today, they look incredible.

I expected complete chaos since one dog gets nervous around barking, but the staff separated them when needed and kept things surprisingly calm. Their fur looked soft and evenly trimmed afterward, especially around the legs and paws where mud kept collecting before. Pickup was busy because several customers arrived at once, though the employees still stayed patient and friendly with everyone waiting inside.

These people got her in within 10 minutes and NOT because they weren’t literally filled to the brim with dogs but because they legitimately cared. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. They also know how to cut VERY specific breeds. I watched how they dealt with all their dogs - you can literally watch it all happening - they are VERY good with dogs. It is obvious they are dog people. I’m EXTREMELY picky but was desperate last minute and I will not be changing groomers. These people are accommodating even when already booked full. That’s customer service and compassion. I don’t know anyone who works there from Adam. But after watching them work, I would trust even my senior fragile dog work them. They’re that good and caring. Photo of pregnant mom having been groomed. Her rear and underside were totally naked. Makes for a much less messy delivery! USE THEM! Oh also - price is reasonable which CANNOT be said about my last place.

Forest Trails Animal Hospital
6528 E 101st St, TulsaWanted to share my experience on this vet, my son's bearded dragon was dying we went to multiple vets, who could not assist due to her being an exotic animal, or were too busy to fit her in. After calling Forest Trails, they fit her in, they were compaionate, explained in detail what was happening, and that she was not going to make it. They said they could do a lot of pricey tests but it would not change the results. In the end they told us to bring her home, and just love her until she passed. If you are looking for an emergency vet, these vets actually care about the pets and their owners.

The first vet we took him to wouldn’t even do X Rays and basically told us to put him down at only a year old. We took Rowdy into Dr. Danners and they immediately gave us hope and got Rowdy in the next day for surgery to amputate his little leg. The surgery went amazing and we would not still have Rowdy here with us if it wasn’t for Doctor Danner and his beyond sweet staff!! I will be coming back for any nail clippings, cleaning, etc. when it comes to Rowdy or any of my future animals.

She flexed with my ever-changing and difficult schedule while visiting Tulsa, including my having to drive through thunderstorms and torrential rain, making us way late getting to first scheduled meeting so had to postpone. Then I had to change hotels, so she then had to also flex on where to meet us. She had almost no real time to get to know Ajuda before I had to leave for my event, but performed a spectacular success of winning my pupdog's adoration and mine. She put both of us at ease almost immediately by her knowledge of dogs, her gift of meeting each dog (and their person!) on their own level and their own personality, and also her love of them. I'd almost drive the 6 hours back to Tulsa just to hire her again, to give my Ajuda a replay of the treat of an experience!

The fried yuca was crispy on the outside and incredibly tender on the inside; it made us completely forget about French fries. And the chimichurri was truly delicious.
We are grateful for the kindness with which we were treated and for the way they brought back flavors that reminded us of home. If you want to try something different, this is the place. We will definitely be back soon to try their specials.
