“Amazing staff!!! Had my truck stolen a few weeks back and it had all my son's baseball gear in the back. We bought a new catchers mitt, reckless bat, batting helmet, batting gloves, infielder mitt. I came up to the till and mentioned that my truck was stolen with all my son's gear in the back and they gave me a 20% discount! Such an amazing business!! Not only do they have everything baseball, they are a stand up business and we will never shop anywhere else for our baseball needs! Thank you again guys really helped me out financially!!!
BTW no other stores have more selection of LHT catchers mitts in the GTA/simcoe county area!! Quality mitts!!”
“This review is long overdue, but certainly not forgotten.
On August 19, 2026, my boss and I stopped by MEC because he was looking to pick up a few things for his next camping trip, and MEC seemed like the perfect place to start.
The great experience began the moment we walked through the door. Every employee who came within arm’s reach made a point of saying hello and welcoming us in. When we needed help, Madi was right there to answer all of our questions and make sure we had everything we needed.
As we continued walking around the store, Marcus came over, took the time to get to know us, and built genuine rapport with us. That kind of personal connection and attentiveness really stood out.
From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. It was so memorable that even a month later, I still felt it was important to take the time to share this review.
Thank you to Madi, Marcus, and the entire MEC team for making what could have been a simple shopping trip such a genuinely great experience!”
“I bought the wrong width and unfortunately threw out the box. The customer service I received was above and beyond. Very patient and kind. I so appreciate all the help I received getting into the right pair of shoes.”
“Overall a great experience in store. I came in for a pair of shoes and was helped by Cameron, he was incredibly helpful! Everyone was very friendly and helpful in the store. The cashier working at the front desk greeted me when I came in and cashed me out, she was very friendly and helpful as well. I will continue to come to Sportchek from now on for my shopping as I need.”
“Pratham was an amazing help! He was patient with my sister when she was so indecisive about jean shorts and he got her multiple pairs until she was happy and he was very knowledgeable on the products 10/10 service from him :)”
“Came to look at some things at gun counter. Had a great service from Dmitri & Chris at gun counter. Very knowledgeable lads, didn't push me to spend money but instead took their time to explain everything and made sure I knew what I wanted and what fits my needs without breaking budget. No pressure sales techniques. Just honest guys helping average person. Can't wait to come back and see them again.”
“Went here for my birthday with all my friends great food & service our server was Melissa and she was fantastic always checked in on us. 10/10 would recommend.”
“My husband and I went in there to find new slides today, and my husband was getting very discouraged as he couldn't find anything he liked and this amazing employee by the name of Henry stopped us just as we were leaving and said there's one last item he thinks we should check out and he brought out the perfect slides for my husband that he absolutely loves!! “Bought the Sky 100 kayak last week and am loving it. Taken it out twice already and it is speedy and easy to paddle, also easy to get on and off the car. Great service from Sojourn, they installed the kayak carrier I bought and strapped the kayak on too.”
