“True gem of a place! The food is excellent and the owner has great customer service skills. So far, I have ordered the jerk pork platter and the jerk chicken platter, and both dishes were excellent. Highly recommend!!!”

“I specifically went here because of the reviews and I pass two other convenient stores from where I live to get here. The owner is just as the reviews said. I purchased two bottles of wine and was informed if I'd prefer any other type, he could order it in and he also mentioned some of the items they do through skip the dishes (which they have a menu for through Skip). Thoroughly pleased with the visit (I believe my first time ever!) and intend to go here in the future... thank you!”

This particular store was very clean and despite being very busy, they were very efficient in my experience produce is not the forte of a no-frills store, but that was not the case here.”

But when i went to return it, he immidiately accepted and told that it was by mistake and he purchases it from an Arab supplier. He also said that he would not buy it anymore.”

“Food Basics has become one of my go-to grocery stores, and they absolutely deserve five stars. Their prices are consistently some of the best around, especially for everyday essentials, produce, and pantry items. You can really stretch your budget here without sacrificing quality, which is something I appreciate every time I shop.
One thing I’ve noticed — and really like — is that they’re always trying to improve and update their world food section. Every few visits, I spot new items or different brands from various cultures. It shows they’re paying attention to what customers want and are making an effort to offer more variety and representation. It’s great being able to pick up ingredients you don’t always find in regular grocery stores.
Overall, Food Basics offers great value, solid quality, and a steadily growing international selection. They’ve been doing a really good job, and it keeps me coming back. Five stars well deserved!”

“The cheese pizza at Metro is delicious!The crust is crispy on the outside, but chewy on the inside like a good artisan pizza!The sauce is good and chunky, like it's made from scratch in house!And they use a super flavourful 3-cheese blend that's perfectly stretchy and greasy (in a good way.)I got an XL Cheese pizza for only $10.99 and it only took 20 minutes to make.”

“First timmers. We really enjoyed are shopping experience. Butcher shop is totally awesome selection is unbelievable. Amazing salad bar super fresh and plenty of options. Had the cold cut sub with extra meat delicious and great value. This will be are new to go place for sure.
