Home Depot is becoming a joke unfortunately. I bought an LG oven from their store in October and have had nothing but issues. I opened a ticket with LG because there's nothing at home Depot could or would do for me and it's been over a month of hell with me trying to get service on my brand new oven that wasn't even a month old when I opened the ticket. Unbelievable lack of customer service but what's worse is that they are fully comfortable selling cheap products at really expensive prices.

Bought the over priced behr marquee paint for a whopping $80 a gallon, and it says 1 coat guarantee for 400 square feet. I painted 144 square feet of double primed walls and had to buy a second can of paint! What’s the point of guaranteeing if you don’t honour what the can says?

I had a great experience at home Depot tonight, I called them right before the store was closing because the contractor had told me that he needed some drywall for some backing for my heat pump when he installed it tomorrow.
Long story short I called in Home Depot to make sure they have the dimensions I was looking for. And while I didn't get her name the lady on the phone was very helpful and extremely friendly, and then when I arrived at the store the gentleman named Adam was kind enough to help me cut the sheet on the spot into multiple segments so that it could fit into my vehicle.
Was a really great experience, and excellent customer service, especially considering this was as the store was closing!

Honestly, Home depot carleton place is horrible now, all self checkout, even the pro side is now half self serve. Four staff standing at the front chatting to each other. They only come over to check your cart to make sure you aren't stealing anything and will tell you as much. If you are that worried about it go back to having cashiers. No staff in merchandise so it takes 20 mins to find someone then another 30 minutes to get a forklift to access things that are on the top shelf.
Manager needs to wake up and see all the angry contractors like myself. Go to Bytown on the other side of town unless you absolutely have to go to this trainweck of a store.

The lumber checkout is now self checkout. I REFUSE to do self checkout so I guess I am going to have to start voting with my wallet.

We’ve been enjoying the kids workshops with our 5 year old for the past 8 months and plan to keep coming to many more. Sign up availability has gotten much better in recent months and the staff running the workshops have always been great too. One month, they even gave us the kit to take home after the workshop ended because mom forgot the workshop was that weekend and we had one upset kiddo on our hands. Phew crisis averted!
Home Depot welcomes dogs and this location is always one of our dog’s favourite outings in town!
Staff are always welcoming and helpful. On one occasion, they couldn’t locate what I was looking for even though the system showed plenty in stock. The gentleman working in power tools took my number and later called me at home once they were able to locate the item. Upon arriving back to the store, he even discounted the price for my trouble, at no request of mine.
No complaints, always a good experience with staff that goes above and beyond.

I have been to a few HDs, but the Carleton Place one is definitely the best one that I've been to! Amazing customer service! Anytime I had questions about plants, lumber, hoses, etc. there was always somebody to help me out. They seem to always have lots of staff on site. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is:
1) The lumber quality is hit and miss. I have learned that I have to inspect each piece to make sure there are no cracks or that it is not warped.
2) I rented a tiller from HD, and it didn't work well. Exchanged it for another one, and that one didn't work well, either. However, workers took their time to help me load the machine into my car...
If I could give 4.75 stars, I would!

We were at the Carleton Place store today looking for a wet dry vac. The staff at this store went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. Amazing friendly staff.
