“This is a blast from my past as my Aunt Carmel lives down the block from this icon(her home burnt down but Cousin Suzanne currently resides on the land. My mom, Teresa Season(Mitton) grew up in the "Valley," and we would make summer treks with the family back to her valley. We would always have a visit with Aunt Carmel and cousin Suzanne and were given a nickel or dime to make a special candy or icecream purchase. The proprietor has many glass and other collectables and enjoys sharing all the stories or artifacts. It is a must to stop here if you are travelling to the caves or having a dip in the Bonnchere River( as my Mom always did) They have fresh hot cinnamon buns(11am) and other food items as well as a fully stocked grocery store. So happy it is still viable as the Douglas Hotel is no more :(”

“New owner and management. Well stocked, good variety and reasonable prices, fresh made sandwiches, atm, beer and wine, greeting cards $3 each. CLEAN. Friendly staff. Butcher/ baker from Eganville Freshmart so warm. Chelsea Buns available often.? ? ? ❤️”
