“This is a blast from my past as my Aunt Carmel lives down the block from this icon(her home burnt down but Cousin Suzanne currently resides on the land. My mom, Teresa Season(Mitton) grew up in the "Valley," and we would make summer treks with the family back to her valley. We would always have a visit with Aunt Carmel and cousin Suzanne and were given a nickel or dime to make a special candy or icecream purchase. The proprietor has many glass and other collectables and enjoys sharing all the stories or artifacts. It is a must to stop here if you are travelling to the caves or having a dip in the Bonnchere River( as my Mom always did) They have fresh hot cinnamon buns(11am) and other food items as well as a fully stocked grocery store. So happy it is still viable as the Douglas Hotel is no more :(”

“My friend and I did a road trip to try their chelsea buns. I emailed to find out what time they're usually out of the oven on the shelves so we knew how early to go. They were kind enough to keep an order aside for us knowing we were coming from out of town. Not only were the buns hot, fresh and DELICIOUS, but the kindness and hospitality made it even more memorable. I highly recommend them. Thank you again!!!”
