“I grew up in Fenelon Falls and have shopped at this Sobeys location often when my mother still lived there. Some of the better points are: They make ready to eat meals hot and cold, they have a fresh seafood area with a tank of live lobsters, the store is fairly big for a small town grocery store, there's plenty of parking, they have alcohol and they have a bakery. My least favorite things about this store are: Because this is a tourist trap and Sobeys is the only grocery store in Fenelon Falls, the prices are on the higher side. The self checkouts are a royal pain in the behind to use mainly because of the scale you have to use. If the weight is off by even the smallest amount because maybe your grocery bag hangs over, you need more bags than you zeroed at the beginning of your checkout or an item falls out of a bag. Each time this happens, the attendant has to fix the problem. Waiting for someone to serve you at hot meals can be super frustrating especially if the attendant is talking to a coworker or making meals. They are supposed to check if someone is at the counter regularly, but some don't.”
