“Today I stopped at the Pioneer gas station in Alliston for 2 reasons. I needed gas as well as air for my low front tires.Air being the highest priority. Not paying attention. I deposited $2.50 into the tire inflator some dimes and nickels. The machine did not turn on. I went inside to find out if the tire inflator actually works. I then explained my situation to the attendant. He along with another co-worker (who tried to help me)ended up giving me a phone number to call the company who manages the machine, as this was an independent service. Not part of the gas station. I called, needless to say I got a recording which said they will get back to me 24 hrs. Disappointed and frustrated I filled up my gas and prayed that I could get to another gas station without ruining my tires. Just as I was about to leave. A very nice man approached me and asked if I was okay. Did I need help. I said I need air for my tires. He offered to take a look at it with me. The gentleman who is the owner (boss) which I did not know at the time paid for the air for my tires and pointed out you can only toonies, loonies and quarters. This small act of kindness brought peace to my drive home.

“We filled up our gas tank on the way from Toronto to our Airbnb in Singhampton. The station is conveniently located just off Highway 400 at Exit 85 onto Innisfil Beach Road. Gas prices there were slightly cheaper than at Shell stations in Toronto. Later, as we drove past Barrie and continued along Route 26 (Bayfield Street), we noticed a couple more Shell stations along the way.”

“Very clean showers. Walked in and could still smell the cleaner. Then once exited shower saw the cleaner guy mopping and wiping down another shower. Dual shower heads, one from above and one on a hose.”
