“When I was a child I frequented this location with my parents, enticed by the promise of Fruit Roll-Ups and Cheestrings. The company which once inhabited this location was once Price Chopper. Much has changed since then but some things haven't. The warmth and good nature of the staff is what has kept me shopping here all these years. On any given day you may hear the produce manager whistling a cheery tune as you decide on which variety of apples appeals to you. He is often there, greeting customers with a gentle tenderness that makes one feel truly welcome. Throughout the grocery aisles, the stocking clerks work quietly and diligently. Occasionally the silence is broken by an uproar in laughter as they push their stock carts past the cashiers and someone cracks a lighthearted joke. Once ready to checkout, you will be greeted by a cashier who reminds you of your super cool, favourite aunt. In the background, a staff member returning from their break brings in a tray of hot drinks for the rest of the staff which elevates everyone's spirit and adds a glimmer of magic to what can feel like a mundane day. You exchange pleasantries with the cashiers, discussing the weather and plans for the day and then you depart, feeling a renewed sense of hope for the day and for humanity at large. These small pleasantries should never be taken for granted as they are the foundation of a community with heart. Thank you freshco for bringing a little warmth into our lives on these cold winter days.”

“This FreshCo has really good prices and deals. They didn’t really have much in stock for meat (maybe because the prices were so good). I have 4 stars because there was a staff member restocking shelves and every time he dropped something he would get really mad and start swearing at himself. It seemed at times he was having an argument with himself which made me and my family feel a little uncomfortable. I think this employee needs a little more training on proper etiquette when on the floor rather than dismissal.”

“Rating is fitting since the only complaints I have is the prices are a bit high so its kind of a last resort shop place for me. Its competitive on a small selection of items and any sales are barely a sale. None of these complaints are really reflections on this individual store. But the one thing I can say is that finding somethings that are listed on the metro website as available in the store is a chore and finding employee's in the isles is a rare sight.”

“Minus i forgot my mum's.
I purchased two right before close with groceries.
Called and called and called and called and called as the lady ( beautiful soul ) asked of I wanted the reciept as I went through twice and I said no .
I called to get her ro confirm as we talked about coffee mate type thing and where to get the cookie flavor .
She would have remembered me
Again ive called probably 7 times and no answer . I live close to bowmanville so I don't want to travel back without speaking to manager first.”
