“Change of ownership early June 2020. New owner is a business student. I met the father helping out in the store. He is a very nice man. The family (or at least the father) lives in the neighbourhood :) Local convenience stores are the backbone of the community.”

“I've been going here for 20+ years, my parents even longer. Not even once have I had a bad experience. The owner, Lou, is an amazing person and handles his business with pride. Through him, I have found a reliable accountant and mechanic which I feel like I will be with for life. He treats my family like his own.
Aside from that, the store has lots and lots of options. Snacks, groceries, lotto, beer, wine, everything you'd expect and more from a modern convenience store. Right next to a great Asian restaurant and the Burlington staple that is The Windmill.
A hidden gem would be the Oldham pies he still stocks. Check the back right freezer. They are GOOD and used to be sold next door when Oldham had a storefront.”
“Honestly out of 25 years I’ve never had convenience store with such convenience!! All the fellows who work here are so polite, care about your shopping and well being because sadly it’s not in the safest part of town. But alway treat EVERYONE with respect, I purchased a lighter and was shocked to see the cashier test the lighter I grabbed.. like come on that’s customer service at its finest!”

“What a great neighborhood convenience store! I have been coming here for the past 15 years, first as a summer time visitor to Burlington when I was visiting my sister and her family - then as a resident neighbor when I moved here 9 years ago. What amazed me was that even when just visiting in the summertime, the clerks would remember my kids and I by name. My son at some point asked about a certain soda pop and Sam went and started carrying the brand purely on his recommendation, as it then became a best-selling product for the store in multiple flavors. They always have the time for a quick chat with you and will always give you a friendly smile in return for your patronage. Highly recommended without a shadow of a doubt!! ?”

to check and validate any winning
lotto tickets .
The self check lottery ticket station
appeared to jam up for some reason.
I then went over to cashier to validate
tickets there and his OLG machine
partially jammed up also for some
reason !
He was also thinking main unit at
OLG was likely possibly offline as
he also has no way of knowing as
they run the system !
He jokingly said maybe a million
dollar winner to witch i said wouldn’t
that be awesome . LOL
Will be rechecking my tickets later on ?

They even sell baked goods; I'm a lifelong Nanaimo Bar fan and they sell some nice ones that I always treat myself to when I'm making my biweekly or so visits to Concession Street every two weeks or so. “I like this shop. I like their subs better than Subway and Mr. Sub. This is one of the last places around you can get a sandwich, drink, and a snack for $15 all in. The people who work here deal with a lot of bullshit so they are naturally suspicious, but if you're polite and not stealing you won't have an issue.
The beer is a little more expensive than the Beer Store, but not too much. It's a fair trade off for the proximity in my opinion.”

I've lived in the area for more than 10 years and the amount of effort and money this family has put into keeping this business open is probably great and I hope we can consider visiting the store. The mechanic is a really smart man and he took the time out of the day to help me adjust my alternator. We've had safeties performed here in the past as well. I am perfectly comfortable leaving my car here and in, fact I will be hopefully be dropping off a car here next week for repair. Thanks for your help!”
