“Very clean and bright with everything you can imagine if you need last minute items for your trip up north. Bought a bag of Ontario Ambrosia apples. Wow, they are crazy good for this time of year. I drove to Meaford and bought 1/2 a peck of the same variety for double the price, but they were mostly mushy. I prefer to get them directly from the grower, but Foodland supplied me this time with my apple addiction. Have no clue what brand of little tomatoes I bought too, but they were fantastic and bursting with flavour. Also bought a huge 810g loaf of specialty Portofino Bakery multigrain bread. Super good and have never tried this before. Beautiful selection of potted flowers and planters ready to decorate the front of your home.”

“I’ve been coming to Wasaga Beach since I was a child — over 30 years now. My family had cottages here, and growing up in Wasaga gave me some of the best memories of my life. I know this town very well and still visit regularly, as I have family who continue to live here.
This Foodland has always been a pleasure to visit, but recently I’ve had an especially wonderful experience thanks to an employee named Dee.
My son and I shop here yearly, more often in the summer months and less in the winter but we still do.. and this year we came across Dee, and whenever Dee is working and checking us out, she makes our visit that much better. She is genuinely one of the kindest, most personable, and sweetest people I’ve ever encountered in a customer service role. Her warm personality, fast service, and genuine care for customers truly stand out.
What makes it even more special is that my son notices it too. He regularly asks if Dee is working because he looks forward to seeing her when we shop. For a small child to notice and remember someone’s kindness is actually pretty rare — most children are focused on their own little world and don’t always pay attention to those details. The fact that he recognizes her warmth and enjoys seeing her says so much about the positive impression she leaves.
I feel that people often take the time to leave reviews when something goes wrong, but it’s just as important to recognize the people who go above and beyond and make a simple grocery trip a great experience.
