I am contemplating bringing my other old guy in as well, because he runs when I try to groom him. Overall a great experience (not so much for them as for me), and I am very impressed.

We trust them 100% to provide the best possible care to our two dogs Stevie and Dolly. We have called on Downtown Animal Hospital for routine, emergency and end-of-life care for our previous three-pack who have crossed the rainbow bridge. In all cases, it's so clear how much they all love animals. Aileen on the reception desk is an absolute joy. We live very close to the clinic, but if we didn't, we'd drive anywhere to take our dogs there!

Animal Hospital Of Stoney Creek
2804 King Street East, HamiltonOn July 14th we found my baby (cat) struggling for her life and paralyzed just steps from our door . I wondered if she ate something but it was thought that she was hit by a car and I'm sure bleeding internally . Lillie is/was my world, my little sidekick- not even 3 years old yet. My heart shattered when we were urged to put her to rest immediately after arriving , But the care and compassion from the team really helped me feel cared for while I was clearly struggling with the whole thing all with a new baby in tow. I do regret not taking my baby home but it wasn't within budget.

If I had to come up with one small area of improvement, I’d say the young girls working at the counter they need to talk with respect. They sound like they are chatting to their friends. If they could be trained in such a way that it doesnt sound like they are talking to their friends, then it would be a five-star place.

962 Upper James Street, HamiltonWe called the clinic on Saturday when our regular vet wasn’t available with a very concerning and scary issue with our pup. An appointment was made for less than an hour from when we called and when we arrived she was taken in right away after we provided all the info. Dr. Paula was amazing and patient with our fur baby. She spoke to us and asked questions and then took her in for an examination. When she returned she explained her diagnosis and treatment plan very clearly. Our pup is doing so much better after a couple days and is back to her normal self. This is the second time we have utilized this clinic and found the staff to be friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. The overall cost for everything was very fair and I recommend Mohawk Animal Clinic 100%.

301 Barton St E, HamiltonI was very excited to try this place. They require reservations so I was expecting it to be very crowded on a Sunday morning for brunch. It was not bad, but it wasn't great either. They have good service and an efficient menu online where one clicks on the desired item and it has really a lot of options for personalization which is GREAT, specially if you are shy and find it hard to ask for many modifications. The food itself was again, good, but not great. I couldn't really taste the hollandaise on my Benny, and the mushrooms were very abundant but not very flavorful. The potato pancake was very interesting and probably the best item. They do not have pepper or salt shakers on the table and I was seated on the bucket chairs. I love bucket chairs, I have them in my office but the problem is that they were much lower than the table which made the reach difficult. I would have been better off siting on the bench against the wall or one of the chairs. Not sure whether I would recommend but on the other hand I want to be fair: the quality was indeed, good and the service very polite and prompt. The cappuccino was also very large, and the price ($22 plus tip) for a one-egg benny and a cappuccino was reasonable for the city and location.

My dog is a super picky eater and enjoyed her meal. Nina had the cafe decorated, spots for photo opportunities and a gate to maintain safety. In addition, Nina was kind, professional and made an effort to speak with customers. If you are looking for a cute spot to hang out with your dog, I highly recommend this!
