“I went in late with friends on a Saturday, the staff was friendly and very passionate about their products. Unfortunately the cask strength rye whisky, which I was really hoping to try, was sold out, but we tried several other whiskies and moonshine. I was genuinely impressed with their single malts, they weren't harshly oaked (ie. tannic) like other similarly priced Canadian premium whiskies. They were pleasant on both the nose and palate, and as someone who enjoys craft whisky, I would highly recommend their single malts. Their other whiskies and moonshine were tasty and competitively priced.”

Recently I went in and they didn’t have what I was looking for (it was a drink I had at my wedding and I fell in love with it and wanted to grab a bottle for new years) and the employee that I spoke to checked different stores in the area for me and was just overall very helpful and kind. “I am so incredibly impressed with this Beer Store location as a result of the honesty and integrity demonstrated by its staff. Thank you to Jake who I believe is the manager of this location. It is obvious that your professionalism and leadership guides staff who work with you.My son informed me that he couldn't locate his Air Pods telling me that he had placed them in one of the boxes I use to return empties in error. While I was certainly hopeful when I called the store, I wasn't holding my breath. Low and behold, Jake informed me that one of his staff handed them in and he had them in his office. He returned them to me and refused to receive any compensation, suggesting that the only donation he would receive is that for Leukaemia, which is supported by The Beer Store. I am thankful to the staff at this location for returning to me something that was so carelessly discarded in error.
