“Staff was accommodating and helpful. I bought a fish tank and needed to return it because it was the wrong size and they had absolutely no problem with me doing so. They were ready to give me any advice I needed for my first time caring for a crayfish and were entirely pleasant. It did not feel like a nuisance returning the fish tank and the cashier knew exactly what they were doing. Overall, shopping here was a refreshing experience and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for quality advice and compassionate care.”

When I submitted my application to adopt her they answered so fast, I was able to get my baby after only a week after submitting my application. “I’ve had consistently excellent experiences at the Hungry Pooch on Dougall Ave. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.
I originally came in looking for options to help with my dog’s allergies, and they took the time to walk me through different foods and supplements without any pressure. Their recommendations have been spot on. I now regularly buy Raw Performance Pure Turkey, along with a few supplements and treats, and it’s one of the few places I’ve found that truly accommodates dogs with multiple allergies.
They also go beyond just being a pet store by hosting in-store events like seasonal photo sessions and nail trimming, which is a nice bonus.
Overall, it’s a great local shop with staff who clearly care about what they do. Highly recommend.”

“I get my high end good dog food here. They've even delivered it for us when we were stuck working and didn't have time to get there. Great gifts and Grosse Ile merchandise like shirts etc too. I can't speak to plants etc. They are a smaller location for that sort of thing but it always looks like good quality plants. Support local!”

“I just wanted to leave a review for three amazing employees at the Windsor Ren’s location: Shanna, Caleb, and Delaney.
I had a very frustrating experience when I purchased my grooming table online through Ren’s about 8 months ago , but every time I go into the Windsor store in person, it’s a completely different experience thanks to these employees.
They are always so helpful, friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. As a professional dog groomer, I really appreciate staff who genuinely understand grooming products and take the time to answer questions and help customers find what they need.
Shanna, Caleb, and Delaney consistently go above and beyond with customer service and always make shopping there a positive experience. It’s employees like them that keep me coming back to the store.

“They didn't gave the shovel I was looking for, so Amy went above and beyond anyone I've ever had the pleasure to come across with customer service. She spent the time to try and remedy the situation and was so nice the entire time. If management sees this, give her a raise and don't let her go as she's rare nowadays!”
“My preference with Pet Valu is because they have Canadian made products & more than the other pet store chain (who I will not name) since I refuse to go there since all they sell is cheap Chinese made products ... anyway back to why I prefer Pet valu, they have a pet wash station!!
They have 2 stations at the store I go to & the cost is anywhere from $15 (when they have a special running) to the Regular price of $20 + tax and after so many washes, I think it's 10, you get one free but don't quote me on the amount because I can't remember.
Regardless, it's a GREAT deal. They provide everything, You just have to get your fur kid in the actual wash station lol after that, they provide shampoo, towels, dryers & most importantly, the clean up & you dont have to lean over the tub straining your back! It's truly a lifesaver if you have back issues.
They also allow you to bring your pet with you into the store, so when you're shopping for something specific, it's helpful when they are able to see the size of your dog or a cat, or whatever pet you have ... anyway, I can't say enough Good things about this place, the staff are always SO friendly & helpful & I'll continue going there to get my fur kid her canadian made treats for her bath because of the ease in doing so & no mess or fuss!”

“I Highly recommend bringing your pet here. I brought my jack russel / rat terrier mix who is afraid of everything including her own shadow. They scheduled her at a quiter time in their shop with not many other dogs there so it would be less stressful for her. They were very kind an caring when they took her back for her appointment. The groomer was talking to her an cuddling her. They did a great job on her hair cut and she was surprisingly calm when I picked her up ! Thank you for a job well done !”
“Most wonderful staff, ever. Special thanks to Casey and Bella, who always go out of their way for my (our) rescue husky dog, who is a little skittish. “My dad’s been taking me to see the animals and buy pets from here since I was a child but most recently I bought this beautiful striped knee tarantula from them. I had originally intended to order a Brazilian Black online but I went in just to look around and spotted my Queenie. I’m hoping to go back in and snatch up the Mexican Red Knee that they have sitting up front before someone else does. The guy that cashed me out was super helpful and informative”
