“I visited Mackay's No Frills for the first time last week.
I have passed by the New Hamburg location many times during my travels along Highway 8, and finally stopped by for groceries. Store was very clean, well-stocked, and staff were very courteous. Great selection of foods, as well as health products (on-site Pharmacy), and some clothes. Fruit was fresh and plentiful.

“Pfenning's is great. Nice people since they started selling carrots. Helped me get through chemo in'19 with advice and products. I start by to shop when I can.”

Grocery Stores
“Ray has been a staple in the village for years and continues to be a reliable source for everything you need from a roadside stand and some specialty items you may not expect... You must go and see what he has on his shelves.. Thank you Ray and all of your staff for what you do for the village.”
“Owner and employees are always helpful and pleasant. You won’t get this type of service at any other grocery store. Thanks for bringing in more variety to the store. It is clear the effort is there to compete in pricing with big grocery chains but keep in mind, this is a wonderful, privately owned business that we should all be proud to support.”
“Goodness me Waterloo has been our families main store for years. Our son has Autism and the calmer setting works for us. Vicky is a staff member who has gone above and beyond to accomodate our family and make us feel welcomed. I want to take the time to recognize her as she is the most caring customer service representative I have ever met, especially when interacting with those with special needs. Thank you. She always has a friendly attitude with every customer I have seen her interact with. It's tough to find stores and representatives at stores that are so inclusive and helpful. Other staff are great too. I wanted to take the time as a Mother of a special needs child to appreciate the kindness we recieve and witness. Top notch customer service. The product selection is good and quality is great. Potatoes are a perfect example of this. The locally grown produce is nice to see on the shelves. If you have an employee of the month my family would nominate Vicky.”
“Quaint little store located in Tavistock. Has a very welcoming environment as well as a feeling as if your shopping in a local mom and pop shop, but us actually part of a larger chain. Great place to shop. Will definitely visit again when I am in the area.”
“Convenient location and quality meats and produce. It's more expensive than other grocery stores but you get what you pay for. The on shelf grocery should be the same price as their discount banners though. A can of beans is a can of beans.”
