“Well, when I shop at Mission Thrift, I tend to spend $50-$70 each time, finding men's and women's tops for $5-$8, unless they are $75 off! I'm VERY impressed with how beautiful, and refreshing the store is now! What a transformation, from floors to the top of the racks! Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the fantastic prices, need to try shopping at any other store--for example children's clothing are certainly not $2-$3 like at Mission Thrift!! It's my go to!”

American Eagle (Upper Canada Mall, Newmarket)
Yesterday, I really needed to buy a pair of jeans, one of them for the same evening. Because of my body size, it’s usually difficult for me to find clothes that fit well. I walked around the whole mall and finally stopped at American Eagle.
At first, I was looking in the wrong section (wide leg instead of straight fit), but then a very polite, friendly, and patient Black sales associate came to help me. She kindly explained the difference between straight and wide-leg jeans, and she brought me four pairs to try on.
Thanks to her help, I found exactly what I needed and purchased two pairs of jeans. She truly made my shopping experience much easier and more enjoyable.
I wish I knew her name to mention it here, but this was yesterday around 5 PM.

She always goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable and find things that actually fit and look good. It’s rare to meet someone who makes shopping such a positive experience”
“It’s completely unacceptable to lash out at workers who are simply enforcing store policies or doing their best in a busy retail environment. Minimum wage does not mean minimum effort — these employees work hard and deserve basic respect. If a return is denied, a discount isn’t possible, or a policy is explained, that’s not the staff’s fault — it’s the rule of the company.
Customers should remember that kindness costs nothing. Attacking staff who are already stretched thin doesn’t solve anything and only makes the shopping experience worse for everyone. Respect the people working here — they’re the ones keeping the store running.”
“Too often, customers come in with unreasonable demands and complete disregard for store policies, then turn around and leave negative reviews when the staff can’t bend the rules for them. Policies are in place for a reason — to keep things fair, consistent, and safe for everyone.
It’s unfair to expect employees to make exceptions just because someone insists loudly or refuses to accept the rules. I’ve personally seen customers demanding returns far past the allowed period, trying to use worn or damaged items, or asking for discounts that clearly don’t apply. When the staff politely explain the policy, these same customers accuse them of being rude or unhelpful — when in reality, they’re just doing their jobs.
The truth is, the team here works hard to keep the store organized, provide good service, and respect every shopper. If more customers respected the policies and the staff enforcing them, the shopping experience would be much smoother for everyone.”

“Visited this store this evening, for the first time in a while. Last time I was here the return line was extremely slow. However I was surprised to see how fast the tall gentlemen at the women’s register was doing returns and the cash line by himself. He was working two registers at the same time, and he finished my return in less than a minute . Amazing work!”

“A fantastic store, right on main street. They have incredible animal or camping related designs and each item is extremely high quality. The owners are very kind, they gave me free socks for my wife on my first visit!!! The real star of the show is their shop manager - a very cuddly golden retriever. Must visit and you won't leave without buying at least 1 item.”
