“The best Serbian/Balkan store in North York and Scarborough area. I came here craving cevapi but unwilling to drive to Mississauga to the more well known Balkan stores.
The cevapi is just as good, and they’ve been the only store I’ve seen so far that serves red onions instead of white, which I find to be much tastier.
Their lepinje is also delicious, and they sell the most popular brands of various different foods like pickled peppers, ajvar, and kajmak.”

“I have just moved to North York, and walking distance to Leo's market. It's a beautiful, European style little market but provides everything from gelato icecream to fresh sandwiches, salads and hot, delicious food to satisfy all diverse tastes ? It's also a wonderful place for cakes and cookies and delectable pastries! My delight was finding fresh vegetables and fruits, and a variety of breads with a deli and fresh fish, chicken and other meats, and so much more! All the people who work there are friendly and super helpful. I recommend that you visit Marcheleo's Market and you'll be tempted to shop there everyday!”
“As a true cheese monger I want to give a big shout out to the deli department. I have not ordered freshly cut cheeses on-line for many years as I have almost always been disappointed with the quality regardless of which store I had ordered them from. I was in a pinch and took the chance and was extremely impressed with all of the various pieces especially the two types of brie. Thank you for the dedication and detail you clearly place on maintaining your cheese section.”

Lots to choose at the dairy section including the President's choice brand.
Finally while you shop for your family you can have your prescription filled at the pharmacy then dash by the self checkout on your way car at the spacious parking lot.”
“The man who gives out flyers at the entrance is the reason I keep coming back. He’s genuinely kind, welcoming, and brightens my day every single time I visit. You can tell he takes pride in what he does — his energy and attitude make the whole place feel alive. Honestly, he outshines every other worker there.
The products are great too — the watermelon, chicken, and Kool-Aid are always fresh and full of flavor. This location is open and welcoming to everyone, no matter who you are. You leave not only satisfied but with a smile, already planning your next visit.”

“A cashier called Kai helped me make a good financial decision during my visit here today. I also feel that both Elyssia and Sidra are strong contenders for Employee of the Month at the location! Then again— Xavier has included himself into the conversation by supporting Security Guard Henry on Mon, Dec 22nd 2025 by taking initiative on a certain matter. The whole unit is VERY strong and well rounded!! On Tuesday Dec 30th, Keetha helped me get change when I was in need! Deepali, Demar and Tatiana-Isabel work very well together as well!

“I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone here in this review. First, I went to this Metro because of the Too Good To Go App. I bought cake at $11.99 and had a retail price of over $30. Second, this particular Metro has a different vibe than others I've been to (others would be Shepherd & Bathurst, Yonge & Eglinton Centre, in Hamilton Fennell & Upper Gage). There's a really nice, kind, easy going vibe.... it's just different. The only reason I've knocking it down to 4 stars is because the prices are really high (which is why I'm using the TGTG app!).”

“Some people don't like the people that ask for money out in front. For the most part, they are harmless and deserve some of our kindness and money. Mental health can really bring a person down without the proper help. Be nice to these people, they have such a hard life.”
“The store was clean and well-lit, and I appreciated how quickly the checkout line moved even though there were a few people ahead of me. Staff were polite without hovering, and someone at the register actually greeted me, which doesn’t always happen at late-hour grocery stops. The aisles are a bit tight, but everything was easy to find, and the fridges were stocked and cold. Parking in the plaza was straightforward, which is a nice bonus in this area, and it’s also walkable from Sheppard-Yonge if you’re nearby. I’d definitely come back when I need something quick without dealing with a big supermarket.”

“Has a lot of cool things that Longo's or Loblaws doesn't have and the people that work here are great, but... over the past few weeks I've bought fresh produce here twice, gotten things like cucumbers and some berries, they've all gone bad within 2 days(mold and slimy). I would still come here for things from asian countries like ramen or sauce or appliances, but maybe not fresh food.”
