“Giant Tiger is,without a doubt, a not-so-hidden gem!! It carries a variety of quality products at prices that are reasonable! And, they have their own store brand which offers even greater savings! While every Giant Tiger is a little bit different, they are consistently well-laid out, well-stocked, clean and organized with friendly staff. We are lucky to have one in our neighbourhood.”
“This is a great Dollarama it's very organized the staff is friendly and the checkouts are quick it's good location off Brown's Line I highly recommend this location”
“Dollarama in Square One is a great addition to the mall for everyday essentials and budget items. It’s super convenient — if you don’t find something here, there’s a Walmart right beside it. The store is well-stocked and organized, and most of the items you’d expect from Dollarama are available. The location is a bit unique since the mall entrance is on the upper level while the store is on the lower level, so you’ll need to take the escalator or elevator down. Staff are generally helpful and friendly. Overall, a solid shopping spot for quick, affordable finds.”
“Don't know about other service, but in terms of key cut they are pro. I needed my mailbox key copied, I've tried Canadian tire first, but they don't have the proper blanks, and while they tried to give me something possible it did not work. I then came to Golden Dollar Discount, was given a number to come back 10mins later to pick up the copy. The copies worked on first try. Thank you so much.”
“Lovely staff. They are always very friendly and willing to help. The store is clean and well stocked. Sale items are always in stock. They have both self-check out and regular check out. The parking lot can be busy, but I have never had an issue with parking.”
“FreshCo is a great place for everyday grocery shopping. The store has a good selection of fresh produce, meat, pantry items, and international foods at reasonable prices. I find it easy to get what I need without spending too much, and the checkout process is usually quick. The staff are helpful, and the store is kept organized. I would recommend it for anyone looking for good value on groceries.”
“We absolutely love this Dollarama! Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming, and Lorraine, the manager, is exceptional. She is extremely customer-service oriented and always chooses the nicest items for this location. This Dollarama consistently has some of the best selection of any we visit throughout the GTA. You can tell Lorraine takes great pride in her store. Keep up the great work! Vivian & Carolina”

“AMAZING location - started coming to this location regularly- super organized. Employee Sashmira (spelling?) I have interacted with her about twice now, her customer service is incredible, she has an absolutely bright future ahead of her.”
“Spacious discount store offering an alternative to the invasive Dollaramas and the unique experience that is Dollar Tree. Given the merchandise and set up, this store seems to be part of a stealth chain or franchise as I have encountered similar stores in Milton and Hamilton. This store seems to be an expansion of the clone that is Dollarama and has an extended arts and crafts section as well as a decent hardware section that has a variety of tools and rattle can spray paint. Worth it if looking for something unique on a limited budget.”
“My mom much preferred back when we’d go to tthis other Dollarama dollar store than the one beside Value village maybe The Creekside crossing plaza it’s in . The same plaza that Walmart supercentre is in . and Walmart garden centre and the walmart vision centre with the Walmart eye doctor the two times me and my mom went I didn’t need any glasses to see clearly that we could have put on me if I did need them to see more clearer if the eye doctor said I did need them for seeing more clearer if I had glasses on not fuzzier without them . $1 but a dollar and 1 cents . The Dollarama is in the same plaza as the Walmart supercentre is at , the Creekside crossing one . Ever since the following thing at the one beside Value village and there’s one Dollarama beside Value village and another one in the Creekside crossing plaza across the street on Dundas street west also , too , and as well . The Dollarama dollar store in the Creekside crossing plaza . Ever since the following thing . when the lady followed us and in the aisle number 3 and that was numbered 3 with that number , and she was weird and creepy by following us .”
“Dollarama is Canada's leading dollar store for everyday products and general merchandise—all for under $4.00 located here at Westdale Mall, 1151 Dundas St W, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.”
“This is my local store and I attend several times a month. The store is clean and neat. It's my go too for craft supplies of which they have a large core selection and then new items that come in seasonally or randomly. There always seems to be something new that gives me crafting ideas. I've also found quality children's books in French; a happy find. They have a good selection of pantry items and candy. The staff is polite and helpful. The lineup to the cash is usually as reasonable as can be expected for a Dollarama. An extended wait time is unusual.”
“Looks like they are taking better care of the store!! Alot neater than previous visits , great deals on fans and portable ac units 60 percent off !! Some great deals on right now”
“I would like to share my positive experience at the Dollarama location in Erin Centre. The store is very clean, well-organized, and everything is placed in its proper section in a neat and structured way. Prices are clearly displayed, making shopping simple, clear, and stress-free. It is very easy to find what you need without any confusion. The staff consistently maintain the store in excellent condition. They are always cleaning, restocking shelves, and making sure everything stays tidy and well arranged. It is clear that they take great pride in their work and care about providing a pleasant shopping environment for customers. All the employees were extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. They were always available to assist customers and guide them to the right products quickly and efficiently. Their positive attitude made the whole shopping experience much more enjoyable. I would like to sincerely thank all the staff at this location for their hard work and dedication. The level of customer service, cleanliness, and organization is truly impressive and noticeable as soon as you enter the store. Overall, this Dollarama location in Erin Centre provides a very pleasant and convenient shopping experience. The store is clean, well managed, and supported by a team that clearly cares about customers. I truly appreciate their effort and professionalism and will definitely continue to shop here in the future.”
“I visited this location for the first time a few weeks ago. It’s large with a great variety. The cashier was not really friendly and was a bit slow but overall a nice store. Will visit again.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
