Gabe's NOFRILLS Ottawa is a budget-friendly grocery store that offers competitive prices and a well-stocked selection. Customers appreciate the good deals on popular items and find the prices generally cheaper than other stores like Fresh Co., Food Basics, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Metro. The store has improved over recent months, becoming cleaner and featuring more promotions. However, some issues remain, such as shelves sometimes being messy and the presence of moldy bread and cheese on the shelves, which affects the shopping experience. The store's shopping carts are large and require legacy currency to unlock, which can be inconvenient; more small carts would be helpful. Customer service is hit or miss, with some staff being helpful and others less friendly. Additionally, sale items often sell out quickly, sometimes before the advertised sale period ends, indicating a need for better restocking. Despite these issues, the store continues to be a decent option for affordable groceries.
It's okay. Prices on shelf are never what they are. I go in often for sales and they don't have the product. THERE ARE NEVER BASKETS! Because who carries change around for a cart?

Still overpriced. Produce selection is low quality. Overall the place is clean and decently organized.
