It's a beautiful, European style little market but provides everything from gelato icecream to fresh sandwiches, salads and hot, delicious food to satisfy all diverse tastes ? “A Clean, Well Organized Store with Great Selection! I don’t shop at this Metro regularly because I generally find the prices higher than some other grocery stores in the area. However, whenever I do come here, I find it to be a very clean, well organized and pleasant supermarket with a great selection of almost everything. The store always looks fresh and nicely arranged. The produce, bakery and other departments are presented very well, and everything looks appealing. There is a good variety of products throughout the store, and I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. One of the main reasons I end up coming here is when I need something for a special occasion. It is very handy when you suddenly need to pick up a cake for someone’s birthday or another celebration. They also have a very good selection of flowers, which makes it convenient to pick up several things for an occasion in one stop. The location at Kennedy Commons is another advantage. It is right near Highway 401 at Kennedy Road, with ample parking, so getting in and out is quite convenient. Yes, you may pay a little more for some items compared with other supermarkets, but you are also getting a clean store, excellent selection, fresh and attractive displays, good staff and a very convenient location. Overall, a very nice Metro and one that I especially appreciate when I need something for a birthday or special occasion.”

The Pink Lady apple store sign has been for many weeks indicating that they are from Canada, but the stickers on each apple says USA. I have complained to store workers every time I shop, but it never changes. Same thing this week with cantaloupes from the USA with a sign stating they are a product of Canada. Smarten up before you get a large fine and bad publicity!!”

“Dear Mr. Ziedins Could you kindly attempt to get the Corporation to install barriers in the parking lot (Sobey's Enterance side), to prevent drivers from backing all of their vehicle's rear onto the sidewalk, taking up 1/3 of the whole path and nearly hitting your shoppers in the process? Due to how low the sidewalk is, the vehicle's system deems it safe to continue to keep backing. I almost got bumped, and I wouldn't want an elderly person with slower reaction time than mine to get seriously injured. Thanks for your attention”

“This is my go-to neighbourhood butcher in the upper Forest Hill neighbourhood. They have really high quality meat and a decent fish selection. The butchers are super knowledgeable and helpful. Note: this is a kosher grocery store, so they do not have any pork products or shellfish, but I haven't found myself missing any of these things! They also seem to have a pretty expansive hot and cold deli which I haven't checked out, but it does look good.”
Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
Target's new low-cost brand Dealworthy is rolling out this month in stores and online. With items starting at under $1, it is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers. The low prices on basics like phone chargers, paper plates and underwear will likely appeal.
Walmart is growing the number of its physical stores across America. The retail giant announced plans to open 150 new U.S. stores over the next five years while remodeling 650 current locations. Popular Florida-based grocery chain Publix is venturing into uncharted territory - Kentucky. Come 2024, Publix will unveil its inaugural Bluegrass State locations, comprising six stores sprinkled between Louisville and Lexington.
