Modern Painting & Framing Shop is a great family-owned business that has been established since 1989. It offers quality framing with a wide selection of ready-made and custom framing materials to fit different budgets. The shop provides personalized care and expertise, with clients always dealing directly with the owner who cares. Reviews highlight outstanding attention to detail and beautiful results, even for challenging and unusual pieces like large irregular textiles, rolled canvases, paintings on rice paper, and embroidered messages. The service is fast, with work often completed in less than a week, and phone estimates are accurate. The staff provides great insight into colors and styles, helps find affordable options, and shows no pressure to upsell, being purely focused on client service. They are also helpful with specific tasks like cutting mats for non-standard pictures. Customers are highly impressed with the reasonable pricing and excellent value, noting the owner’s willingness to go above and beyond, such as helping to deliver oversized items. The final products are consistently beautiful, expertly wrapped, and highly recommended.

I brought a cross-stitch piece in to be framed and had a wonderful experience. The owner has a great eye for colour and provided excellent recommendations to help us choose the matting and frame colour and textures. We are very happy with the result!
