1460 Merivale Rd, OttawaI would like to say that all the staff at this Pet Valu store are very attentive and always ready to help. I really appreciate how well I’m treated there, and I believe my little dog enjoys it even more, since she is always welcomed with affection and treats.
Besides the consistently great customer service, I recently bought winter boots with suspenders for my dog. The product is excellent — definitely the best boots I’ve ever purchased for her. However, I bought the wrong size, and when I went back to the store to exchange them, they didn’t have the size I needed.
The salesperson (I believe he might be the owner) kindly offered to pick up the correct size from one of the other stores the next day, and then we completed the exchange. I found that very thoughtful on his part.
I must say that there are other pet stores in the area, but what keeps me coming back to Pet Valu is the excellent customer service you provide.

Pet Circus
274 Bank St, Ottawa(6 years ago, edit removed original date) Absolutely perfect. Any questions I had were enthusiastically and thoroughly answered, and my budgie is in excellent health physically as well as, crucially, mentally.
Edit: Many years later, my lil Pasha is still a curious and frighteningly intelligent little bugger and gets his girlfriend Ali in on his shenanigans. I love them both to death, even if they've both extensively mapped out my nerves, haha!
Ali was 'rescued' from a different and /very/ poorly run shop which has since, thankfully, gone out of business. She was the week-after-week reject because of her anxiety at the time. I knew Pasha and I would be the perfect flock for her, and she flourished within a month. We're now going on 5 years as a 3-happy flock and it all started thanks to Pet Circus. If I could shop there exclusively, I would without hesitation.
I've recently switched them both to ZuPreem pellets (and greens) instead of a mostly-seed (and greens) diet, they've really enjoyed the switch, I recommend it.

Chilly Dogs
2630 Lancaster Rd Unit D, OttawaWe bought two of the Harbour Slicker rain coats for our two German Shepherds. They are fantastic for keeping them clean and dry! The coats are also easy to put on (really important when you have to dress two dogs!!) and quick to clean. The quality of the workmanship is top notch also.
We had to switch the size for one of our coats, and the process was simple and easy.
I highly recommend this product and company based on our experience with our jackets!!

Not every dog will sit on the table like a statue, especially a puppy! They said she would have a hard life if she continued to act like this. My dog was groomed at another salon today and she was so relaxed and fell asleep on the table WITHOUT trazadone. I'm beside myself and heartbroken that I even took my baby here.

I could never trim Maples nails while she is awake but they did it and in record time. When we brought them home, i could even feel that they are better tempered than before especially Maple. If I could give a higher rating than 5 I totally would. The staff are also very very helpful by answering questions I had about brushes.

1463 Merivale Rd, OttawaI had an incredible experience at Gyubee thanks to our server, Yoko! From the moment we sat down, they were friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu. They checked in often without ever feeling intrusive, made great recommendations, and kept our table running smoothly all night.
What really stood out was how genuinely welcoming they were. They noticed when the grill needed changing, kept our drinks full, and brought everything out quickly even though the restaurant was busy. Their energy made the whole meal more enjoyable.
Great food becomes amazing food when the service is this good. Huge shoutout to our server — thank you for making our visit one of the best we’ve had at Gyubee. I’ll definitely be coming back because of you!
