274 Bank St, OttawaAmazing experience, just like everyone said. I forgot to ask the staff member’s name, but the staff who helped me on Jan 2nd was incredibly helpful. I called before going to get my hamster, and he made sure I had everything prepared. He mentioned that dwarf hamsters need extra sand baths.
When I arrived at the store, the staff helped me pick my very first hamster and even let me hold them (which I wasn’t expecting because I was afraid the hamster might bite me), but it turned out really well.
The staff really seemed to care about the pets. When I mentioned I wanted to buy extra food, they told me I needed to buy food specifically for dwarf hamsters, also they love bok choy.
Overall, it was a great experience! My hamster has been home for a week now and runs on his wheel every night for over 4 km!

1460 Merivale Rd, OttawaI would like to say that all the staff at this Pet Valu store are very attentive and always ready to help. I really appreciate how well I’m treated there, and I believe my little dog enjoys it even more, since she is always welcomed with affection and treats.
Besides the consistently great customer service, I recently bought winter boots with suspenders for my dog. The product is excellent — definitely the best boots I’ve ever purchased for her. However, I bought the wrong size, and when I went back to the store to exchange them, they didn’t have the size I needed.
The salesperson (I believe he might be the owner) kindly offered to pick up the correct size from one of the other stores the next day, and then we completed the exchange. I found that very thoughtful on his part.
I must say that there are other pet stores in the area, but what keeps me coming back to Pet Valu is the excellent customer service you provide.

I enjoyed a lovely conversation about humming birds and blue jays with one of the staff. I ended up buying a humming bird feeder. Very happy I picked it up as I’ve seen them many times in the feeder on my balcony at home. Although not close to where I live I will be returning to this gem of a store. Lots of feed for birds to chose from, lots of bird feeders and books. I’m glad I stopped in. Thank you for the information you shared with me.

2630 Lancaster Rd Unit D, OttawaWe bought two of the Harbour Slicker rain coats for our two German Shepherds. They are fantastic for keeping them clean and dry! The coats are also easy to put on (really important when you have to dress two dogs!!) and quick to clean. The quality of the workmanship is top notch also.
We had to switch the size for one of our coats, and the process was simple and easy.
I highly recommend this product and company based on our experience with our jackets!!

Not every dog will sit on the table like a statue, especially a puppy! They said she would have a hard life if she continued to act like this. My dog was groomed at another salon today and she was so relaxed and fell asleep on the table WITHOUT trazadone. I'm beside myself and heartbroken that I even took my baby here.

I could never trim Maples nails while she is awake but they did it and in record time. When we brought them home, i could even feel that they are better tempered than before especially Maple. If I could give a higher rating than 5 I totally would. The staff are also very very helpful by answering questions I had about brushes.
