“The workshop with Elisabeth was amazing the place is awesome. They should rent more accesible so many people could do more workshops. In General is okay, only the door downstairs was hard to open at the beginning.”

“Awesome spot for grabbing a beer and watching the monthly Kino films. Wall artwork as you walk up the stairs is super cool and groovy. Has a room to the left when you get to the second floor with seats so you can chill with your friends, and a bar to the right, with the main area straight ahead that has the stage. Not sure if they have Jameson’s or not, if they don’t they should. They probably do. Not sure about food. Anyways the only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is there was one of the first few times I went that the server did not give good service and really seemed upset/angry to be there so that kinda soured an otherwise good night. I haven’t seen her since though so maybe she is happier doing something else now. Will update after some more visits, 5 stars is not out of the question if further visits are good and the staff continue to have good service and energy.”
“Beautiful event space, the panoramic windows have a fantastic view of some of Ottawa's most iconic architecture.
The staff is also wonderful, highly recommend working with them for events big or small.”

“Consider visiting Devin's Hidden Shop on Sundays only 2079 carp road. The hidden store in Canada's capital city. Far more exclusive and hidden than this antiquated morsel.”
“We recently hosted our department Holiday Party at the Canadian Geographical Society (50 Sussex), and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!
Service & Communication: Carolyn was exceptional in the lead-up to the event—clear, responsive, and incredibly helpful in planning every detail. Onsite, Ashley and Trista went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were always available and proactive, making the evening stress-free and enjoyable for our entire team.
Food & Flexibility: The food was phenomenal! The team worked closely with us to create a menu that perfectly suited our group of 120 guests on the main floor. Their flexibility and support in customizing the menu truly made the event special.
The only challenge was parking, however options/ instructions could have simply been better communicated by our team to the attendees prior to the event.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines stunning space with top-notch service and amazing food, 50 Sussex will not disappoint.”

“We attended the EY centre for a Wedding show, and it was awesome. Spacious, lots of stands for various products. We have also been there for The Home and garden show.”
“Played pickleball here numerous times. Lots of space, everything is great, and high ceilings. The people are always friendly and the prices are more than fair. It has everything you need. There are other sports here too but I’ve only ever visited for pickleball.”

“Went there for the first time yesterday with my friend. This friendly bar is tucked away inside the Orleans bowling alley. We saw a fun band, played there, and had a really good time. There was no cover charge. Drinks were cheap and the glasses were huge. Like a 20 ounce glass for $6.75. They have a Pleasant menu of tasty food and snacks that are more affordable than other pubs. I like that I can just grab a pogo for $3.50, or a jumbo hotdog for $4.75. Or I can spend a bit more and have a pizza, burger, and fries, wings, etc. I found the people there were very sociable. It’s a good place to go if you were looking to make some new friends Or shoot some pool. I have drinks while listening to a fun band play.
The sound system was good And just the right volume. It was not so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation with the people that you were hanging out with at the table. I’m not sure how often the bands play so I would check their website.”
“My daughter celebrated her 10th birthday at FunHaven today and she had such a great time! The staff were very helpful and friendly even during the March Break rush. They were also kind enough to understand that I missed the party in the email where it said no confetti ?. So just a heads-up no confetti poppers! Would highly recommend.”
“I’ve been to Palace a few times now and it’s always a good time. The music is solid and the DJs actually know how to keep the crowd going, so it never really gets boring. The vibe is fun without feeling too chaotic, which I like.
The staff has always been nice and things are pretty well organized, even on busy nights. Also I’m really happy to see that they fixed up the bathrooms and redid the space a bit it’s clean, freshly painted, and the new lighting makes a big difference.
Overall it’s just a reliable spot for a night out. Good music, and good energy”
