“Doug Miller is always...my go to book store. Doug is a friendly helpful owner who can tell you if he has the book you are looking for, or he can make a suggestion if you need help in making a selection. He has a fantastique collection and the prices are very reasonable. Check this great store out.”

“I have to say, these guys are the best in the business. In Canada it is notoriously difficult to buy enthusiast goods at a good price. Avworld beats even American prices which are almost always better. They consistently have good sales as well. They also have really good quality control (undoubtedly better than Boeing). The stock is incredible as well. There is no better aviation store than AVworld.”

“This is such a gem in my neighbourhood. The staff are so warm and I never feel pressure when I go in there. The products are incredible. The best for last, my facial there was one of the most relaxing things I have ever experienced. Jeronnie, who did the treatment, is a true healer. If you can afford these kinds of pleasures I say book it now!!”

“Great place, lots of selection, helpful attendant...sadly they didn't have any of the books I was looking for...but that's not their fault. The store just responded with a kind message of thanks and a wish that I find something next time...which, for me, guarantees that there WILL be a next time. Great customer care. And - I'm sure I will find something next time. :)”

“Came here on a whim while passing and the name, it's out of way location (tucked into a basement unit if a building) is what got my attention. I walked away with an armful of books. They have an impressive selection of books on all subjects and I love how reasonably priced everything is. Owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. I could sped days here! I'll be back.Side note: they have a very cute ginger cat”

“Perfect, cozy, vintage. The mystery book machine was an instant favorite of mine, I got the 'Golden Caravan' and 'The Age of Reptiles' from it!The clerk said, they don't carry any items past 1989, so I guess you could say the store as a whole is always a mystery anyway!Items are priced differently, but the mystery machine is always $5 per token to operate.I didn't catch the name of the shop clerk, but she was very nice and helpful!”

“Always find something I 'need' here. Excellent selection of more than just rock LPs, records ain't cheap anymore but when you have that itch to spend a couple of hours flipping through the bins you could do a lot worse than this place. Lots of new vinyl as well as plenty of previously loved stuff. And books galore.”

“I love my local indie bookstore! I can browse to my heart’s content, and I know if I need anything all I have to do is ask. There’s a wonderfully curated collection of books and gifts, and even though this is a Tiny Type, I still find surprises.”

“Eaton centre is a massive shopping mall, with hundreds of shops and a huge food court which smells amazing with food from kfc, McDonald's to tim hortons. Also, Canadian Tire, Best Buy are situated there. It is owned and managed by Cadillac Fairview. I think that  It is the second biggest mall in Canada (after the West Edmonton Mall) and gets more annual visitors than the Las Vegas Strip. Excellent place of shopping mall.”

“Every community NEEDS good bookstores. They're near-extinct, killed off by Chapters (which no longer even cares about books - it's more concerned with selling candles and knickknacks) & Amazon (intent on monopolizing retail sales everywhere).Toronto still has one remaining small chain of committed bookstores. This is a brilliant little business. A great place to browse, to find books you didn't know existed, to find a good selection of magazines from around the world. It deserves your patronage. You deserve the joy of a great classic bookstore. Enjoy.”

“Good selection of manga, comic books, art books and figurines. I go often since it's fun to look at what they have, very nice owner as well.Cramped space but I like it since everywhere you look you can find something you might not have realized you wanted before, other customers are respectful of your space as well. It's mandatory to wear a mask but the lady is very nice about it and provides one at the entrance if you don't have your own”

“I always go here to look for aesthetically pleasing gifts. On the other hand, I wish they had a few more things that aren't books, like they used to. Perhaps there just aren't as many things to have anymore.”

“This shop is such a rare find — I passed by it so many times but finally stepped foot inside today. I was immediately enraptured by the jewelry and couldn’t help but try them on. They are so unique that it felt like individual pieces were calling out to me. Very happy with my purchases, I finally have some staple jewelry to sincerely call my own.”

“I had the pleasure of meeting Peter and Kristina of Paradise Comics when they came to evaluate my comic collection. Peter's knowledge of all different types of comics is second to none. I received a very fair offer and we were paid on the spot. If you need any info or want to sell your comics this is the place to contact. What a great couple.”

“Always a great selection of fiction and novelty items. This is the best BMV location in Toronto. Classic small bookstore feel complete with creaking wood floors, friendly service, and fair prices makes this my go to bookshop (preferred over the big box across the street!).”
