“What a joy to shop at Stella Luna. The high quality of the clothes, bags, and shoes result from the owner's eye for interesting details, material, stitching and fit. I love the shop.”
“Amazing gem of a thrift store charity shop. They have a treasure trove basement and a change room for trying clothes.
I have been shopping there for 15 years and appreciate they still keep prices low.
Incredible selection and variety in such a small space. You never know what you will find!”
“Dollar For You is great. It’s right in Cabbagetown, just a few doors down from Dollarama, and the prices are basically the same — but the selection is better in a lot of ways.
This is where I go for hardware stuff especially. They carry practical, everyday items that Dollarama doesn’t always have, and it’s laid out in a way that actually makes sense when you’re looking for something specific. They also sell basic clothing items, which is a huge plus — especially in winter. Their selection of hats, scarves, and gloves is noticeably better, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need without overthinking it.
What really makes it a no-brainer for me is that it’s a small business, run by real people, not a big corporation. You feel that immediately. It’s functional, honest, and focused on serving the neighborhood rather than pushing a brand or upselling nonsense.
Same prices. More useful items. Local ownership.
For me, that’s an easy choice.”
“If we could give this place 10 stars we would!
Not only do I always find exactly when I want when I’m coming in here, customer service is the best in the neighbourhood. All three of these lovely ladies are always so helpful and friendly. A fantastic selection of both new and consignment items.
A true neighbourhood gem”
“Double Take Thrift Store isn’t just a shop. It’s a node in the neighborhood, a pulse in the architecture of this community. Every time you step in, you’re not just looking for a find you’re participating in something bigger. The store gives back to the Young Street Mission, which gives back to youth, which gives back to the streets that hold it all together.
Shopping here is an act of connection. You pass through aisles stacked with stories and objects, and every dollar you spend turns into something real for someone else a program, a meal, a chance. The staff know the rhythm of the space; they make it easy to feel part of it. And the treasures you find? That’s just a side effect of being in a place that’s alive with care, history, and attention.
This is the kind of thrift store that makes you think about value in more than price. It’s about community, continuity, and giving back in a way that feels tangible with every step you take down the aisles.”

“Being an architect with a love of MCM furniture, Guff has a nice selection of quality vintage teak furniture, art and home accessories.
I recently sold a beloved teak desk and credenza to Guff, and the process was easy and their friendly staff moved the pieces away in a very efficient, caring and professional manner. It's great that those pieces that have been in my family for a long time is going to a good home that will be appreciated.
Thank you Josh & Andrew!”
“Really pleasant selling experience... inspite of nothing being taken. I arrived when they open on a Saturday and was told my one large bag would be looked through within 10 min which was exactly so. The girl handling my items was extremely nice and courteous. She respectfully explained why my items weren't taken and even suggested I bring back a few as they might be more suited for next season. I will definately be returning!
Ignore the negative reviews and give them a chance!”
“Value Village Queen St Toronto is one of my main stores I shop at. It’s a small store but I have found treasures. There’s a big paid parking lot in the back. The guys are very helpful at the donation center in the back. If you donate, you receive a 20% coupon and I am so happy they now expire in
December of 2026! The coupon applies to up to $50 worth of items. Tuesdays, seniors 60 plus get 30% off which is a great deal but expect it to be crowded..You can also fill out a brief survey on line to get $2 off a purchase of $5 or more. Remember to bring bags or they can be purchased there.”
“I visit this store weekly and always find great clothing items priced right.
The front cash employees are always friendly and you always see the floor staff working hard putting new items out.
I recommend visiting this location, you won’t be disappointed.”
“Invaluable place to walk around, previously I have no idea I will buy something, but after I literally look Around, i found so many amazing stuff, super valuable for me, supee bargain, I bought one hokey hat without doubt, because it almost new with half price compare to a brand new”

“I LOVE this store. Every time I visit TO, I make of point of going to this shop. Staff are wonderful! The items are always great, and I have found 'my' type of gems every time I go. Can't wait for the next visit....”
“Picked up a few books, items were well kept and store was clean. Pricing on some of the items is a little outrageous considering the condition on a few of the books, had to search for a couple of gems at a reasonable price. Was in the area and stopped in just to browse.”
“Had a great experience here today. A nice couple owns it and both are so welcoming and kind. This is not a thrift store where there’s a bunch of random old dad stinky shirts with no rhyme or reason. This is curated shop with great care and details on the tags of each garment! Bought an awesome piece and I will be returning!”
