“I find the eco market a beautiful space for friends and creatives. The staff are truly lovely and embody the spirit of community service. The market featured racks of gently used clothing, a small pastry case showcasing French-style, fresh goodies, a shared art studio and beautiful artworks and murals from the same artist. The staff told me the proceeds go to neighborhood programs like providing hot meals. I highly recommend checking out the market!”

“I am very grateful for Twice as Nice. They offer high quality items, and are always ahead of the seasonal shifts which means when I'm scrambling to find skates, rain coats or bathing suits they are a reliable place to turn to. They have come through for me on short notice when I needed to dress my two boys for a funeral, and again when we had to stock up on toys during a temporary move. Overall a great spot for busy parents!”

“Exceptionally well curated garments… Incredible staff I always am greeted by the front desk people whenever I walk in. I also have a few favourites workers that give me honest second opinions on my outfits here. Only small note I would say for improvement is not to put fast fashion, such as Zara, Ardene and H&M on the rack to maintain exclusivity and sustainability practices. Aside from that, I’m very happy with my shopping experience a common sort, and look forward to discovering the other locations around town”

There was a great selection of quality items and well-known brands available for a fraction of their original cost. The staff at the checkout were friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I had an excellent shopping experience. It's definitely one of my first choices for second-hand shopping in Toronto.”

“I felt compelled to leave a review as a long-time Common Sort customer, seeing what I feel are oversimplified and hasty reviews of the store, mostly from the seller experience. I will share my perspective as a shopper and seller: Shopper: I appreciate the store has a variety of styles and price points. It is not overly curated towards one specific style, thus it is a place where a variety of folks can shop their style. I also appreciate that this location in particular, seems to make a concerted effort to have in stock larger sizes, which is not the case for many consignment/curated second-hand stores. I come in for a quick look weekly, and most often find something I would either love to purchase or do purchase. Selling: The criticism of the selling experience does not seem to have nuance towards Common Sort as small business - they are BUYING what will quickly sell in a very small space. What they may have space for one day, they may not have space for the next week. For those complaining that designer items were not accepted - perhaps, those designer items don't have a strong customer base in Riverside? I can imagine that a lot of customers aren't looking to drop $800 on one item - Common Sort Buyers must likely be very considerate when buying that item - will it sell quickly? Is it worth blowing their buying budget for the day on a single item that may not quickly sell if it has a niche audience? It is not a judgement on the item or the seller - its an assessment of what makes sense in that small space currently. Common Sort has posted before that they do not have storage. They are purchasing what they can sell at that moment. This store literally has only a few racks of each size. Folks should consider this nuance of Common Sort's business realities, to avoid disappointment in the selling process.”
