“This store is a hidden gem with something for everyone. The range of items they sell, from unique clothes to captivating books and charming lapel pins, impressed me. They also hand-embroidered items which added a personal touch. I’m delighted with my purchases – I bought several items including items I plan to gift for the holidays. A truly fantastic experience!”

“I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now: I will forever be thankful for the kind and knowledgeable staff who helped my husband out after our daughter was born.We were not expecting our baby to be arriving for a while yet and - though we had the larger items/furniture and baby hygiene items we’d need already - we didn’t have anywhere close to everything required for when baby came home.Well, things changed quickly for us after a routine checkup turned into an agressive induction and then an emergency c-section (don’t worry - baby is fine now, thankfully!).While I was still in hospital recovering from the c-section, and learning about taking proper care of my little one (she is my first baby), I begged my husband to go stock us up on the things we were missing. At the time I thought I was being clear, but I also hadn’t slept in two days and was on pain medication so… let’s just say he was left a bit confused on what to buy.Anyway, the wonderful staff at Twice As Nice took my very stressed-out and sleep-deprived husband under their wings and set him up well: adorable onesies (in the correct sizes!), tiny hats, swaddles (which he didn’t know existed until that moment haha), a very soft bath towel, burp cloths, and basically everything we were missing and needed at that point in time! It was a huge help to us, and I have been giving them our business ever since. Thanks, ladies!”

“Purchased some kitchen chairs for my parents and delivered them on Sunday - they were just perfect with their existing table! Thanks to the incredibly helpful GUFF staff who helped bring the vision to life! GUFF will be my go to for my furniture needs and I will be watching for chairs for my own table now too!”

“Love visiting Rick at Odds and Ends every time I go visit Toronto with my bestie Karen! Rick can find you anything your looking for by simply requesting what your looking for. Shout out to Rick, your Chinese friends that make it a ritual to come year round to visit your shop full of treasures all the way from Texas!”

“Double Take is a gem and probably the best and cheapest thrift store in the city. Friendly staff, amazing prices and selection (especially the baby section- so many great finds for only $0.50)!”

“The staff is friendly and the store is clean and organized. Good deals can be found however don’t bother buying any electronics from this place. Literally every “apple” compatible piece of electronics they carry don’t work but I go across the street to the cell phone place and all their stuff works fine. Fortunately the staff refunded me as I showed them it didn’t work. My suggestion try it in the store before you leave if you are buying headphones/cables”

“I scheduled a free personal styling appointment with Maggie and LOVED it. For some reason this is not a popular service being offered at stores, and I tried finding it! I'm often in the area and saw it being advertised on a poster in the window at Common Sort.I needed to update my professional wardrobe but every time I go into a store, I'm overwhelmed with choice and I just don't have the motivation to sift through racks and racks of clothing. If that's your situation as well, you should highly consider scheduling a styling appointment at Common Sort. It's a free service and I felt it was excellent value for money. It's really a win win because as a used clothing store, you're preventing these garments from going into the landfill. The quality of the clothes at Common Sort is excellent, especially those that Maggie found for me.I'm just a really happy customer and I think the stying service should be promoted because of how much value I got from it.It saved me the time and frustration of trying to find outfits for myself when it's not something I'm good at. Instead, someone else did it for me, I just walked in, tried the outfits on and was thrilled with them. I walked out with the items I loved and was not pushed to get anything more than I wanted and loved.Try it for yourself!”

“The theme of this review is: “August is a GEM!!!”I was on a mission to find a coat for a winter wedding. I follow Common Sort on instagram, I noticed that they had a coat that could work for me, so I gave the team a call. Right from the get-go, customer service was 10/10 and the team put it on hold for me.This was my first time in the store, which has a super cute, cozy vibe, and right away, August welcomed me with a warm smile. While the coat I put on hold wasn’t quite a match, August went above and beyond to try to find something for me. I tried a couple of coats and throughout the process he kept on asking thoughtful questions to try to understand my personal style, while having fun, and making it a super comfortable environment. He landed on the cutest little brown faux fur coat and once I brought it home and tried it with my dress???! A DREAM. I feel amazing! I can’t wait to style it with every day outfits as well!If you’re ever in the neighbourhood, definitely swing by! - Also, trust August 1000%. I was originally on the fence about this coat because I was envisioning something else, but it ended up being beyond perfect! I also loved that he wasn’t pushy at all. Again, the experience was so so comfortable and sweet and fun….I’m so glad I stopped by! Thanks August!!! ?”

“It takes a village: Value Village is my village of value for the books alone. I also appreciate the courteous and helpful staff. Never know what I'm going to find there - fresh produce served by the minute. The journey is the destination. My go - to place for de.cluttering and re cluttering therapy.
