I'm a former runner whose fitness life completely stopped when I kids 8 years ago. I was unable to get the motiviation or momentum to continue running and throughout the years, I tried and failed at many attempts at an exercise program, from pilates to barre to on demand home workouts (thanks, Covid!). None of them kept me interested or engaged enough to stick with long term. I had heard OT reccommended by several people and one day I finally got the courage to book a free intro class. I was shaking when I walked through the doors, worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up. But somehow I did, in my own way. Maybe it was the great music?! And a year later, I've lost 20 lbs and I'm well on my way back to my former running abilities. Best of all, I finally feel like myself again.
I love that the workouts are never the same. They keep it interesting with challenges, events, and benchmarks so you can really see your progress and set measureable goals. But most of all, the coaches are amazing - shout out to Everett & Sara who help me push myself by recognizing even the smallest amount of progress and extra effort!!
It's hard to take that first step. It's hard to make time for classes (I know...2 kids + work). It's hard to push through when you're feeling exhausted. But it's 100% worth it.”

“Now that I've been going to The House for a little over a year, I feel qualified to leave a review. I've hopped from gym to gym for different reasons the last 10 years and I'm finally feeling secure in the fact that I've picked an excellent home away from home. The programming is great - which is something that is incredibly important to me. I think it's written smartly and in a way that makes sense to achieve realistic goals. I used to do CrossFit but I'm loving attending a Strength and Conditioning gym instead because it just makes more sense (especially as I age) and I find myself getting injured a lot less overall - and when I do get injured, it's just from doing every day stuff, not at the gym. The coaches are all fabulous - even the newer coaches are full of passion and knowledge and they all communicate to each other so well, ensuring everyone understands the programming of the day and how to explain it to the class attendees. The gym itself is nice and big and clean and has equipment that's in good condition. The community is awesome and supportive. I'm generally a lone wolf and even I find myself conversing and sharing equipment with others in class, who are really great at cheering one another on. The owner lives not super far away but pretty damn far and still makes it a point to come visit us in Portland quite frequently, considering he's also running a second gym where he lives. And while the owner lives a bit aways, he's employed an AMAZING gym manager who does a great job at taking care of us. We're (the gym-goers) are often asked for input and when we give it, changes are actually made accordingly, we're actually valued and listened to. Also, I love the extra mobility and yoga classes we get - which are so helpful for active rest days so you can feel refreshed going into the new week. The gym also hosts lots of fun events such as a monthly happy hour for gym-goers and employees or motivational promotional events such as keeping track of how many days you go to the gym that month to motivate you to get a certain amount of days (holding you accountable for your attendance) to be entered into a contest to win merch and etc. Honestly, of the 6 different gyms I've attended in the last 10 years, this is my favorite.”
“Had a blast! Today was my first time attempting rock climbing. I'm DEATHLY afraid of heights and only made it halfway up the wall. However, a really kind man named Dickie saw me struggling with my feet and overall technique and showed me a bunch of helpful tips! I was so grateful! A real sense of community here on my first day! I felt a little weak after trying a bunch of "bouldering" or crab walking I'm not sure what I was doing really but could definitely feel my forearms start to give out on me ? only pushed me to wanna come back and keep practicing! The front desk person (I accidentally forgot her name) was SO awesome! She cheered for me when I was trying to make it higher up the wall and pointed out helpful tips! She even spotted me on a different wall when I was afraid of falling past the crash pad! What makes this place truly standout is the community they seem to have. That to me out beats everything. The walls seemed well cared for and I loved the "rustic" type of feel of the place. Cool re-purposed van couches in the locker room were a really cool touch! Made me feel like I was at a friend's garage gym-really "home-y" and cozy! which I also prefer over large formal gym complexes. As a beginner- I felt VERY welcomed and not intimidated by the other climbers, I actually watched some of them work and admired their techniques! I only bought a day pass cuz it was my first time. But once I get a few more seshes In I'm DEFINITELY getting a monthly pass for this place!!! Best climbing gym!!!! ???”

“I have been in a LOT of different gyms over the years, and this crunch location is personally the best facility I have ever seen for the price. At 10$ a month I was expecting more planet fitness style but no, this gym has something for everyone. From the multiple power lifting stations/squat racks to the dumbbell selection. Plenty of different iso machines cable and free weight selections are amazing they even got tbar rows near the front. and i really like the machines that move with you as you do the movements. the turf is not huge but more than enough space for multiple people to do functional workouts. Unlike planet fitness and other gyms this place seems to be truly judgment free, it’s nice to see people not getting chewed out for slightly banging weight or a little grunting you don’t have to be worried about really pushing yourself here? for the price this gym is truly a blessing I was surprised in a good way..I go in the evenings between 8:30-11pm and it’s never been to packed to get a great workout in, oden has been helpful and welcoming very good customer service seems professional and authentic. I’ll becoming here for for many years to come”
