“I placed an order for several items on October 26, 2023. I received my items a week later with free shipping. All my items arrived well packaged and accounted for.Fast forward to today, 11/15/2023. I went detecting with my new gear, which were the Nokta finds pouch, I bought two of them. While out detecting today, I noticed that one of my pouches had a manufacturing defect. One of the zipper pockets was actually stitched together and it would not open to the pocket. I came home and called out to the store and got Bob and his associate on the line. Let me tell you, they immediately apologized and are sending me out a new pouch. They were super nice and helpful. Very very easy process, I wish all customer service issues were handle this easily.Also, I was on the market for the Nokta Legend LG 12x9 coil. I searched all over and could not find it. I do not like to use Amazon because I like to support US small businesses for my hobby purchases. These guys had in stock and got it out to me. Outstanding website, outstanding customer service, and very nice to talk to. I will absolutely be using them for my metal detecting needs!!Update: As I am writing this review, my new pouch has already shipped and I was sent a notification and tracking number. That is amazing service, well done Northwest Detector Sales!”

“I needed petrie dishes for a time sensitive project. After I discovered another large supplier in the area didn't have the listed items in stock, I tried Nurnberg. I was willing to take only half the number I wanted, but then Abbie managed to locate a second sleeve, and even gave me a warning callback when she discovered they would be closing an hour early! Amazing service and, I should add, less than half the price per unit I was quoted elsewhere.”

Walked in yesterday morning with a job that was so HOT, we required a one day turn around....and they finished it by dinner time!!! These folks are so knowledgeable about what they do and the customer service is amazing. Had the pleasure of working with Jack and he knew exactly how to help us. Gave great feedback about how we can help them as well. We've been using them for years and all we have to say is, they never disappoint. Very communicative and extremely reliable. The toys are somewhat pricey, so kids will struggle to find something to suit their tastes. Glad to find a place that carries Heroclix.”

“Great little hole in the wall. With models, trains and others. I was there for trains. The owner was a very kind gentleman. I like the fact that the shop buys used items. I was actually able to look at items they hadn't processed yet and buy them before they made the shelves. His "train" guy was out so we were able to use eBay and Google to establish fair pricing. I bought several brass engines, a book and a poster. Very happy. I will be back.”
“I love this place. All sorts of treasures just waiting to be found. The staff is helpful without being pushy. Prices are decent, remember your Michael's account and any coupon, screenshot it! Cell signal sucks on Hayden Island. But all you have to do is ask and the folks there will help. You should always have some sort of couple or special to take advantage of. They have a great selection of all things arts and crafts with some gifts, home decor, and LOTS OF CANDY too.”

“Mad Max's Heroes & Hobbies was truly a great surprise when we were out visiting different shops on "May the 4th Be With You!" day yesterday!!! It was our last stop of the day and we ended up staying all the way until 11PM at night! Max the owner is a true hobby enthusiast who knows his stuff and has been in the business for decades. His shop reflects his years of experience as there were so many truly good finds from so many different areas of comic and toy history! We left with many treasures we were thrilled to add to our own collection. Take the time to look and share with Max what types of items you like to collect and he will help you find what you want! We were able to chat with Max for the majority of the time we visited his shop. It was awesome to hear the stories and background of each item as he took the time to help us find what we were wanting. Max will treat you fairly with his pricing as long as he knows you aren't trying to rip him off just to resell and flip his cherished items for your own profit. If you are looking for vintage comics, toys and action figures for your own collection, this is definitely the place to go!! Don't wait too long since it sounds like he might be closing soon so give Max a call and ensure he is there when you want to stop by. His shop is typically open in the evenings from Tuesday through Saturday but be sure to call especially if you are visiting from out of town. We will definitely be trying to make our own return trip to visit Mad Max's Heroes & Hobbies again in the very near future while we still can!!!”

“It's been a few weeks since I went in and I'm not sure I remember the employee's name correctly: Cudder? Codder? I know it was a name I don't recall hearing before. It was a Saturday afternoon and he was alone because his co-worker called in sick.
I thought he was staffed by himself and the store was busy, so I didn't understand that staffing choice at first - there was a decent line forming. Despite that, his interaction with a young kid was really enjoyable to watch; the kid was buying something big on his own for the first time. Cudder never seemed flustered and didn't skip any steps, including with the next person, and that's pretty rare I think, including in my own experiences working in retail. I didn't know his co-worker called out until I got to check out and it really made me appreciate how well he rolled with the busy store. Sorry if I'm totally screwing up your name and I hope y'all know who I'm talking about!”

Tons of puzzles, games, dice…you name it, they probably have it! And their community space is amazing to grab some friends, pick out a game from EXTENSIVE demo game collection, sit at one of their many communal game tables and make memories to last a lifetime. Even from the first visit, we have felt welcomed and every time we leave we all have big smiles on our faces.”
