“Well I was overcharged on accident on a Friday, I didn’t catch it until after I had left and paid. Got a call Monday and they were already ready to issue the refund for it.

“Update: November 2025! I'm still going to Sherwood Auto Repair and if I can help it I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. Not only are they amazing at communicating on my level, Katie and Alden helped me understand that my partner's car needed a muffler mount replaced and that it made more sense to have it go to a specialty shop because it would be more cost effective! I am so impressed that I will continue to drive from Gresham to make sure that my cars are serviced right. Fours cars over the years and no one but Sherwood Auto Repair will be touching them unless they tell me to go to a specialty shop!
I've been bringing my cars to Sherwood Auto Repair for the last four years. I love their model. The very first day I brought the family mini-van in they asked me what my goals were for my vehicle. We were paying off debt and getting everything in order, and I told Scott, I want to run it until the wheels fall off. They treated that vehicle like it was a priceless sports car. “Last night I was pulled over and received a warning due to my tail lights not working, this was a Friday night. I could not figure out the issue, and my normal shop was closed till monday morning when i needed to be back at work. I stopped in here Saturday they took alook and resolved the issue in an hour and charged me a very fair amount! Will go again.”
“Tim took excellent care of my 1964.5 Mustang. I had tried to replace the transmission pan gasket three times and could not get it right. So I took it to Tims Aatco transmissions, and he explained everything that needed to be done in excellent detail. I parked my car yesterday at 4 o’clock in the afternoon in my garage with a clean drip pan underneath the car. … And this morning there was No leaks whatsoever. “My clutch failed completely in my 2011 Ford Ranger on Monday. Another shop didn't want to deal with a major clutch job. They said I shouldn't look any further than The Bolts on Motors shop in Sherwood for the clutch work. As soon as I had my truck towed to the shop. Mary had the truck checked and the staff said "sure." They knew what to do within the hour.
An estimate was written up with a complete description explained to me. An appointment was set up for Wednesday and the work was completed by Thursday using all Ford parts. The price was very reasonable compared to my regular Ford dealership. I was surprised how smooth a properly working clutch shifted. The work came with a 12 months 12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor.
I would recommend Bolts on Motors completely. It is the "Go to Shop" people always seek out.”

“This place ROCKS! I was dumb and put loud exhaust on my Jeep Rubicon. I asked them to make it quiet and they did the rest of the work. “I am extremely grateful to Jim and the team at Beaverton all transmission, after one shop quoted me seven grand to re-build my transmission. I decided to get a second opinion, and had my car shipped out from Portland to Beaverton and Jim told me that was not a necessary job. My car did not have a transmission problem, it was electrical and shift solenoid.Although he wasn’t able to help me with my specific problem, he didn’t try to rip me off with unnecessary repairs like art of maintenance did in Northeast Portland , if I ever do have a transmission problem or if I know someone who does 100% I am recommendingJim. It seems like it’s getting harder and harder to find an honest mechanic and and Jim is one of the honest ones.”
“Extremely trustworthy mechanic and he does an amazing job too! I've had multiple experiences with Luis and his team, and they always go above and beyond. Additionally, I took my girlfriend's car to get the brakes replaced and Luis told me the brakes were fine and did not need replacing. I can't tell you the number of shops I've been too where they would just replace it anyway without telling you.
