“We recently moved to the area and we had a truck load of cardboard from moving boxes, furniture, appliances, etc. I found out about Deschutes Recycling from a local relative and came here yesterday. The gentleman at the main booth was very friendly and informative. The recycling bins were well organized and parking was great. The facility was also very clean. Within minutes I was able to deposit the cardboard that took hours to breakdown and cut up into manageable sizes. I will be back to drop of my glass products as well. I would definitely recommend this facility.”

“I had a wonderful- though truly "distanced" experience with the owners of Galveston Gardens. In San Francisco, I was looking on behalf of my family for a living gift to send to our niece and her new husband on the occasion of their impromptu wedding at Smith Rock on New Years Day. Most of the Bend nurseries were closed but I initiated the "chat" on the GG website and the owner Dino responded, even though the nursery is closed until spring. They were patient and kind, taking the time to answer all my questions. His mom Giovanna took the trouble to make up additional options for me to choose from. Their containers are imported from Italy and are unique and tasteful, and often vintage. Their succulent collection (my area of inquiry) is colorful and varied. They arranged for delivery of our beautiful selection, and the newlyweds are delighted. I can't wait to drive to Bend and shop there for myself!”

“Bend is usually well stocked with basics like hardware, paint and lumber. Staff are friendly and helpful. I've scored several plants at deep discounts from the garden center in summertime. They just needed a little tlc and in time became happy air filters in our home.”
