“We recently adopted our daughter through the support and care of Choice Adoptions. Our process was almost 3 years start to finish and Choice was was, and is with us every step of the way. They are personable and thorough and we can’t imagine a more supportive agency in an emotional process. I would absolutely use them again!”

“BLS course was great. Informative and hands on learning experience. This was my second time with med outreach as well as having Tim as my instructor. Will definitely be coming back for future renewals!”

“The place itself is beautiful, full of natural light and SO many racks of dresses. We scheduled an appointment online, and as soon as we got there, we were ushered to the back area with separate areas for the brides trying on dresses. They even have a front area with a pedestal and even more natural light. The staff were amazing and helped us with everything. They even gave us a little bit of time since it was a slow day. Their dresses turn over in two weeks, so we ended up going back a second time. These dresses are deeply discounted and completely beautiful.”

“This place is amazing! Ended up buying a frame on a “sale” weekend. Thing is they work with you and they enjoy it as long as they’re open! Anything that gets more people on more bikes is a good thing. If you are thinking about checking it out I can say it’s now one of my favorites in Portland.”

“Loved this experience! I had very little knowledge of the Chinese history in Oregon (and the larger Pacific NW region) so this is very educational and informative. Really loved the Bue Kee exhibit as well. $8 entry fee, self-guided and a general overview from the attendant (who was really sweet and gave me food recommendations!). Overall, great experience and would highly recommend especially during AAPI Heritage Month.”

“Very appreciative of Birch Community Services helping my family stay fed all those years while I was growing up! It was hard work. You have to put in a lot of hours to stay fed here, and often the food is on its way toward being expired, but there is a lot of good food here, as well. Better that it goes to those in need rather than going to waste!”

“My aunt and uncle (Gary and Ellen Wolfe) have been volunteer members and fixtures of Post 180 since I was a kid and the post was at a different location. My mom Katie was a member for many years as well as an avid bowler.Through the passage of time Wolves, Downeys, Marthallers, Wilsons, and even Thorps joined or participated at one time or another - Easter Breakfast was a tradition for several years, and more than one family function took center stage at Post 180… including my dads memorial service January 2015.When I say that dropping by the Legion any given day or night will find you welcomed like family, I mean it quite literally.I haven’t been since 2015 and I know the family tree has been losing its leaves but the best part about the legion as a group and this post especially, it’s like one of those canning jar cake mix gifts people used to give in lieu of baking themselves, whether or not you are a member, you are the missing ingredients needed to whip up the batter and make that cake.A friendly group of low key regulars just waiting for someone to plug in the music and start dancing so the seat warmers will have something new to talk about.LolIf the news is on you owe to these veterans to drown that negativity out and make them have to speak up to hear (this causes the thirst so they will need to drink up)The owners or someone there picked all the music in that machine so you go crazy and play whatever you like. And if you see some toes tapping go ask them for a dance. Then sit with them and ask about their service.Always tip the barmaid/tender extra for disturbing their peace. ;)My 4 out 5 stars is because rental of the venue doesn’t close the party to the public which is why my wedding reception and the parents 50th and a few other shindigs were at post 150 up off Crystal Springs blvd and 89th - exclusive use - huge parking lot and hall with kitchen etcNot typically open to the public ever.Sometimes the public is nice to have - adds mystery to random conversations with people at some wake or religious fellowship wondering who’s cousins spouse or kid this is only to find out they came with the bar stools ??My cousin Tommy met his wife there when she was tending bar one Easter, made the best Bloody Mary’s (horseradish no tobasco) and when us girls took my mom out on her 70th we ended up at the Legion because we assumed a cousin or two might be there and they were. There was also a semi private party that night for a young man home from the middle east in whichever conflict was in 2004…My adorable mother walked up to the band and asked for the mic then proceeded to thank all these complete strangers for coming to HER party (she was dead serious but so sincere… not completely lit at all ?) and this lovely family clapped and the kids dad gave her a hug and I was laughing too hard to intervene.Love you guys!Cousin Trish “The dog lady” Aunt Katie’s daughter, Mark and Jims sister. “It’s a great coffee shop. Meeting with Spanish is lots of fun. It gets a little crowded sometimes but it’s to be expected. Lovely people mostly. Service with a smile.”

“Other than the pick up/drop off traps and your fur friend(s) times leaving you in the middle of rush hour traffic I don't have much to complain about. The people here are providing a great service. They care about the animals safety & health not to mention the communities they live in. I totally recommend the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon in SW Portland”

“Just a good place helping us who are down and out. I've been very sick and lost way too much weight (about 100 lbs). All my clothes were falling off of me. SnowCap hooked me up 3 times now and I've gotten some new and close to new clothes that fit me perfectly. So I am one Super Skinny Grateful Woman now and owe it to these wonderful people. They are also going to hook me up with good food which you can choose from what they have available. I'm Disabled with a very Low Income (only $32 in SNAP Benefits) and with the prices these days I struggle to buy enough food so part of my weight loss is due to this. I really appreciate the help from this Organization and I Support their Cause. We all have to help one another to get by in this over priced world these days. THANK YOU SNOWCAP!! YOU ALL ARE AWESOME PEOPLE DOING AWESOME WORK FOR US WHO ARE STRUGGLING IN THIS CITY♥”

“We have stayed here multiple times with our daughter. She loves going there and we love it because it is one less thing we need to worry about when she needs to be at the hospital. We live almost 2 hours away so it's great for those early morning appointments.”

“Great selection and super friendly, helpful staff. They are fairly discerning about what books they accept for donation but this maintains the high quality on the shelves.”

“I love working for this company in their Kids program. We support I/DD adults and kids and this is the first place I've worked in the non-sectarian non-profit arena that continually shows their employees how much they value them and the work they do. They pay decent wages, offer great benefits, and do all they can to accommodate your scheduling needs. I have 42 yrs in the workforce across multiple fields and 37 of them in caregiving and SPED teaching. THE Program is beyond what I expected.”

“Are you kidding me? The kindest employees who clearly have there heart in the game. I don't recommend coming at closing time because there is too much really cool stuff to look at but that is exactly what we did. We were still treated with the upmost patience and kindness which meant a lot to my new little Cub Scout. They even sowed some patches on the shirt for us. Thank you so much CPC BSA !!”

“Absolutely fantastic place. Workshops for those looking to build, raw materials, used goods like tubs/sinks/doorknobs. In a world where our landfills are growing, stores like this are a godsend”

“Behold, one of the great places responsible for my healthy weight, something I've gotten to enjoy for the first time in my life. All my life, I have struggled with being underweight, to varying degrees, and after a while, began to think that was simply how I was. After arriving in Portland, in just a month, I gained 7 pounds, and that's something I've struggled with even while trying weight training, protein drinks, and over indulging in calories. The healthy food here makes a difference. A salad, fruit, and a meal changed my life, one meal at a time. The love can be felt in abundance, and the people volunteering to serve these meals are some of the kindest heroes. It's amazing to see this, and I wish this level of heroic strength, open-mindedness, and generosity was across this nation.Even beyond the food, these volunteers sometimes provide care packages that handle much needed essentials, from wound care to hygiene, and the ever elusive gloves. I hope that it is known that the kind messages and sweet stickers put on these care packages are uplifting and supportive, offering optimism and hope through difficult times and moods. Thank you all!”

“lovely staff! the phlebotomist was so friendly and found my vein on the first try - i'm cursed with extremely hard-to-find veins and often have to get poked 3+ times so that was a pleasant surprise :)”

“Over the years project lemonade has gotten more sizes and clothing options and also moved to a larger slot at the mall. They also updated the frequency of shopping to 3 times a year! It used to be just once. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back. Everyone there is always super great!”

“Absolutely wonderful Library! Very clean and well kept. Helpful and knowledgeable employees. BUT, don't bother trying to use there scanning printing system. Outdated system with new tech spliced in, is simple a debacle to try and use, for patrons and employees alike, as it seems no one can nail down the best or even an exact way to utilize the system. It comes accross as "high tech" at first glance and yet you can only pay with coins or bills, no debit/credit card payments accepted. It is definitely not a user friendly set up. Try a Fedex, a family members printer or just buy a scanner/printer of your own.”

“"Portland Center Stage is an exceptional venue that hosts a range of captivating plays. Its offerings tend to lean towards the sophisticated & snoopy, which, while impressive, might not resonate with everyone. It would be fantastic to see them introduce plays that are a bit more accessible to the general public. Making the themes and narratives easier to grasp could help attract a broader audience, ensuring more people can enjoy the magic of live theater. Regardless, it remains a top spot for those who appreciate high-quality productions.”

“Introduced me to the mountaineering and hiking community in Portland. They run almost entirely on volunteers - to me, that is a sign of the amount of passion and devotion many members of the Mazamas hold for the organization.”

“I found this center very welcoming and refreshing as I have been exploring different communities since moving to Portland. For the first time in my exploring, I did not feel like beliefs were being pushed onto me. The Sunday meeting consisted of a nice spread of meditation, qi gong, and a dharma talk.”
