“Tony is a Top quality and knowledgeable mechanic. Tony absolutely nailed the tuning on my new Stage 2 Cam and Weber 22R Toyota engine. Got all the air / fuel down and idle hang issues. The drive ability is perfect and found some extra power in it too. Quoted higher than actual repair bill so there were no typical mechanic surprises.”
“My father passed away in 2012 leaving behind his 1998 Ford Ranger Pickup which has pretty much sat in the driveway being used very sparingly over the past 12 years. My brother and I decided it was time to get the rig in good working order and searched for a local repair facility that we could entrust the truck with.
We chose Dr. Auto LLC after doing a bit of research including word of mouth and testimonials of former and current clientele, we were not disappointed !
Dr. Auto performed a host of repairs to the truck, one said repair involved solving a problem for which replacement parts were no longer available in the aftermarket industry; the staff brought this to our attention and worked with us through various sources to resolve and fix the problem and ultimately returned the truck to us after addressing all known and discovered issues, the truck runs just as good today as it did when our father drove it, regardless of all the years of sitting.
We fully expected a rather high repair bill given the work we had done to it coupled with inflationary costs but much to our relief the costs were less than half of what we had been expecting and the truck runs awesome.
For the casual observer Dr. Auto LLC really just looks like someones back yard shop but outside appearences are deceiving. Behind the walls and roll-up doors, Dr. Auto has a well trained and seasoned staff of professional technicians who know their trade. This business is a hidden gem of the community and they strive to provide a valuable service to each and every customer; from the administrative staff answering calls and questions to the technicians out of the floor they all provide a professional service and excellent customer experience that is hard to find these days.
Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Dr. Auto to anyone seeking a trustworthy auto repair service in Columbia County and one that delivers a true value for the money being spent.”
“The folks at Woodland Saw and Cycle are so helpful! My husband sent me in to do a few errands for him. They knew exactly what was talking about, and got me every thing he needed for his saw, a chain and a wheel to sharpen his chain. They have everything Stihl brand that you could need. They’ve done a great job with my son’s motor cycle repairs, as well! I love the carvings they have there, too!”
“Thank God for Chuck Jones Automotive. The alternator went out on our work truck on the way to our huge trade show. We luckily got off the freeway and randomly pulled into a parking lot. As luck would have it we pulled right in front of their shop. The problem also included an isolator so it took an extra day but they got us back on the road and saved our trip. They are so nice and honest. Even picked us up from our hotel (in 95 degree weather).”

“Went to Les Schwab for a tire repair and they ended up breaking off a stud and quoting me over $575 to fix their mistake. I then went to Woodland Tire Shop and they were able to do the repair for less than half of what Les Schwab quoted. Highly recommend these guys, they are honest and reasonable.”

“I can't say enough good things about this small shop with a big heart. I am one of the recently displaced residents of the Portland downtown arson so I thought that I would think outside of the box on a place to call home while the investigation and my insurance took their time to come up with some answers. So I was given an extremely great deal on an on an older RV. Yes it is a 1980 and while in great shape on the inside and out it is dated. So when the water pump on the engine went out I didn't think it would be a big deal to get it fixed, I mean the engine only has 50k, but boy was I in for a surprise. I broke down in Woodland WA and called every shop within a 40 mile radius and was given quick dismissals or no response at all. Simply stating that they did not work on RV,s that old under any circumstances. From what I have learned it's because most of them are not well taken care of, which was not the case with mine. I'll be sure to include some photos later. With nobody to take RV to my tow truck driver said that he knew a place that did some specialized work on some more difficult situations. So without even being able to speak to someone first he drops my RV, at night mind you, in the front of Down River Auto and I just left a message on their machine and crossed my fingers. Now not only have they been hard at work on my RV they have been working with me to keep the cost down because of fire situation. I have not been asked to leave this review and to be honest I am not sure if they even need more business. However I feel it's important to let people know how wonderful they have been. “Let me preface this review by saying that I love my truck and I wanted it to be perfect and I’m very particular about keeping it in optimum operating condition. I got taken by a Russian ripoff artist when I bought the truck about a year and a half ago so there were many problems to address. I ran out of fuel twice and experienced a couple of other diesel repair shops that were not honest in the needs of the truck or pricing or simply we’re not able to figure out some ongoing issues. Finding Ross Diesel was a revelation and the work they did was reasonably priced and absolutely correct. They were able to find an oil leak issue that proved to be far simpler than the other shops diagnosed and pursued a transmission hard shifting problem that had eluded the other two shops. Broc and Teresa went beyond to get my truck back to a powerful and smooth-running workhorse again. They were professional and friendly and caring and I can’t say enough good about them. If you like fancy uniforms and a big shop full of expensive brand new trucks sitting on a shiny epoxy painted floor and you’re willing to pay for that and pay for repeated visits and work that was never needed in the first place then I’ve got just the spot for you but if you want straightforward work by a crew that knows exactly what they’re doing and will stick with the problem until it’s resolution then Ross Diesel and Auto Repair is absolutely the place you should go!”
