“The guys at Nick's were so awesome and found that the fix for my wipers was a much simpler (and cheaper!) issue than another shop had said. Went from a supposed $600 broken linkage (previous shop's false diagnosis) to less than half that price for tightening some loose bolts and running a full diagnostic on everything else my car might need. Even better, it didn't take more than just a few hours! Great experience altogether!”
“I'll start this review by admitting that I am generally not trusting of auto mechanics. I do most of our automotive maintenance and repair and have had several occurrences with past mechanics where I found that they were being less than honest and performing unnecessary work in the interest of billing the customer more.
This made our experience with Dimitri even sweeter. I had diagnosed our Toyota Tacoma to have a leaking head gasket and took the car to Dimitri after receiving a referral from a neighbor.
Dimitri assessed the vehicle and gave us a solid estimate for replacing the head gasket and having the head milled.
We accepted his bid and had several discussions with Dimitri during the week he had our truck. He even sent over several pictures of the work in progress and updated us with his progress, including the need for additional work which he explained clearly and concisely.
Once the work was completed we picked up our Tacoma enjoyed an in-person conversation with Dimitri. We found him to be honest, straight-forward, and supportive. And best of all, his work was of exceptional quality. Our truck has never run better.
I'd recommend anyone in need of auto repair or maintenance to go see Dimitri!”

They knew all the answers to my questions off the top of their head and had answers for questions I hadn't even thought to ask. “I have been coming here for a long time to get my oil changed and have been extremely happy with their customer service, especially with Bob, who has always been super kind and helpful. For example, today when I came in, they mentioned that based on my mileage, I actually didn't need an oil change yet. To top it off, because I had been unsuccessful replacing my tail light because I couldn't get a bolt out, I asked them if they had any suggestions. Austin was kind enough to come out and try to get the bolt out and after several tries, we ended up agreeing that cutting off the bolt was the only way to get it out. He then went back into the shop to retrieve a cut off tool and cut off the head of the bolt, which allowed me to replace the taillight. I asked him how much I owed, and he said nothing, even after about 20 minutes of work. I'm extremely happy!”

“Les Schwab in Milwaukie is the best customer serviced based repair shop I've experienced in years. I had a terrible experience with 2 of their other stores; HWY 212 in Clackamas and NE Division St. in Portland. First off, I had an account on HWY 212 and bought $1200.00 in new tires. 2 of them leaked air and went flat every week for months. When I asked them to fix the problem they said my wheels were bad and needed to buy another $1200.00 for new wheels. Out of frustration I called the Milwaukie center, asked them if they would warranty 212's work and they said yes. I immediately transferred my account to them where they fixed the wheel problem by simply cleaning them with the tires off. I haven't had a problem since and it's been 2 years.
Then, last year my daughter had a tire problem on her little car and contacted the Division St. store. They told her she needed $1200.00 in new tires. That's what I paid for my big truck! So I contacted Milwaukie and got a new quote for $400.00 for a full set. I added my daughter to my account and will never visit the other two stores again. They're both criminal in their charges!”

“Hoagland's Secret Sauce......It's hard to find experienced and well seasoned people these days. Gerber's mcloughlin blvd store in Portland seems to have figured out the secret sauce needed to balance what I need to keep coming back with what the business needs to do well. Managers like Ron Hoagland have this knack for handling difficult situations and turning them into great experiences. My beautiful old Jaguar got some great care and I got to talk with someone who's been there done that. To many people in the business are just putting in their time and collecting a check. Not the case with Gerber on mcloughlin and Ron Hoagland. You can just tell when someone has the experience needed to be a true pro while at the same time keeping my best interests in mind.
