I brought in my typewriter that I inherited from my grandmother that was no longer progressing reliably when keys were pressed. Owner was so kind and was telling me all about my typewriter and tried oiling it and getting it going while I was there but it needed some actual work done so I confidently left it with him. My confidence was not misplaced, I picked it up today (earlier than I expected to!) and it works so beautifully. Good as new and I cant wait to write many more letters on it. An amazing shop full of history and knowledge. Places like this are why I love Portland.”
“The folks at Pacific Typewriter gave a whole new life to my functional but crud-filled Underwood 5! The keys were very sticky. The caps/tops were corroded. Things that were meant to slide really did not want to. And the amount of crap that dislodged when I first tried typing with it was honestly kind of impressive.
It couldn't have been more than 24 hours before my machine was ready for pickup once it reached the top of their queue, and I almost couldn't believe it was the same machine when I saw it! Everything moves so smoothly now :) I will be going to Pacific Typewriter first for all of my future repairs or supplies. Friendly and welcoming people, and exceptional work for an exceptional price. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with them on putting together several proposals for brand new copier machines in our offices as our lease on our existing equipment through Pacific Office Automation is FINALLY drawing to a close (and btw, if you are even remotely considering going down that route with POA, don't just walk away... RUN! Trust me). The rep that I worked with throughout this entire process (and it was a long one, on our end, not theirs) was Nick Bassett, and he was an absolute delight! He stuck by us every step of the way, with a dogged determination and drive to see things through. He may be young and somewhat new to the industry, but do not let that fool you. This guy really knows his stuff, far better than many veteran reps who I have spoken to throughout my lifetime. I have absolutely no doubt that Nick is going to go very far in his career, no matter where his future takes him, and I hope that one day our paths might cross again in the future. While we ultimately were not able to work with Kelley in the end due to a corporate contract that was in place with another provider and entirely out of my control, I definitely consider that to be a huge loss on our end, as this is one classy company, and one that I would have loved to have been partners with. “Best to make an appointment before going! I was looking for ergonomic computer work chairs for teleworking full time and they had lots of samples to try but not all chairs worked or had features enough to determine fit (tilt, lift, pan slide). They had some discontinued chairs for $100. I wish they had a lending program since there's no return policy and they are a custom order your chairs outfit. I want a chair that allows me to work long hours without pain and so many chairs don't support an upright position for reading online/typing/mousing all day.”

I've unable to get into specifics of our deployment, due to non-disclosure agreements, but I can safely say that, overall, the process of swapping out some leased hardware has been relatively painless.Yes, there have been a few hiccups and snafus along the road to swapping out our leased devices, such as license files not being pre-emptively installed, being shorted some external accessories, and then being shipped an incompatible peripheral, which had to be exchanged.
