When you are planning on changing colors inside or outside your house come in and talk with their consultant. Bring your ideas, pics of what you are trying to accomplish, questions about colors not competing with other colors. For instance, I learned that different white colors will compete. This is the place to come when you need some directions and ideas. They are fabulous!”

“I am so impressed with this company, and they will now be the only paint store I shop at! They are paint experts and provide excellent customer service!Here’s my story:I’m been looking at exterior paints for several months now, driving around neighborhoods locally as well as when I’m traveling. I just can’t find the right color (blue grey). I’ve visited several paint shops across multiple brands, asking the staff for their help with no success. My painter suggested going to Powell Paints. I went to the Clackamas store and met Tom. My first impression was, “Wow! I’m finally talking to someone that genuinely understands paints and cares about .helping me!” He gave me a few options to look at, then also suggested I come back and talk with Gina, the color expert. Gina is a color scientist, and I am in awe in her knowledge and expertise! She understood what I was looking for and came up with a recommendation. I took a quart of paint home, painted my garage door, then looked at it for a few days. It was close, but not exactly what I wanted. When I went back, they genuinely wanted to make certain I found my ideal color. Gina, Tom and I worked together to get the color even better than what I visioned. I am so happy!”

“I've had several positive experiences here. I've worked with a guy named Dathan a few times and he's terrific. One time he spent fifteen minutes with me helping me find the right .21 cent screw for a manual coffee grinder I was trying to fix. That's the thing about this place - it's got the stuff, and it's also got the staff who are happy to help figure out which stuff to get and how to use it.”
“4 years ago I bought 11 gallons of pain for a project that would up getting incredibly delayed. As a result of poor storage on my part, the paint was badly separated and some were partially solidified. I called Miller to see if I obrought them in if they could re-mix them for me and was told absolutely I could! Seb assisted me when we got there and was incredibly helpful and kind! They were able to salvage all but 1 of the gallons, and was happy to make me 2 more gallons to purchase, as well as offering to open an account for me in order to save money. They literally saved my day and my wallet! They even helped carry the paints to and from my van. Such great service and I left really really happy! Thank you, Seb!!”

“I called from Canada to buy 1 gallon of paint for our warehouse in Portland, but phoned their manufacturing facility, which referred me to Paul Schraeder from a different location. I couldn't get anyone to pick up, so he himself offered to drive to the warehouse and drop off and didn't even want to charge me. “We've always been 100% "Team Sherwin Williams." My mom has used Sherwin Williams for years; so have my husband and I.But, when it came time to do some touch-up paint on our 1928 bungalow, we decided to use the same brand that had been used by the previous owner: Rodda. Luckily, we had some old paint cans on hand, so Rodda was able to make us new gallons of paint to the same specifications as the old paint.The new Rodda paint is, of course, bolder and brighter than the aged paint. But it still looks really good. Even better, the Rodda applied like butter! It self-leveled, leaving very few drip marks. (Our beloved Sherwin Williams trim paint, on the other hand, left a ton of drip marks and imperfections.) The Rodda cured really well, even though we were applying it in rare dry spells during a rainy and cold fall.We're huge fans of Rodda now, and will use them for all our exterior paint in future!”
“this place is the best in the whole world. The red-haired employee, Everett (I think that's his name? I took his card so I could write this review then I lost the card when I washed my pants) is so so sweet and helpful, my housemates and I seriously would come to this store just to talk to this cool friendly smiley man. We are paint novices and have visited the shop several times to get supplies to work on our house. Every time we drive over there, we say, "oh this is great, we get to see our favorite employee!". “Absolutely outstanding. We went into the Lake Oswego Sherwin-Williams store with nine cans of paint from the house we moved into, of varying ages and conditions. Parker, the assistant manager, helped us sort through the paint, checking out each can, telling us what we should keep and what was useless. He then matched the colors of the useless paint that we needed. Parker was courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. We purchased the paint and the matches were perfect, even on walls that were painted some time ago. And, he saved us some money by not buying paint that was fine. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The store is convenient. The Sherwin-Williams paint matching system is near flawless. And, the paint is exceptionally high quality. If you need anything to do with touching up or painting, this is the place to go.”
