“Had an awesome experience at this store today. My son and I went in looking for some stuff. My son is 11 and brand new to the sport, and I'm a casual at best with hand me down, Walmart, and thrift store found discs. A lady, whom I believe to be the owner, was incredibly patient with us as she explain the basics and made recommendations. She did not sell us on a bunch of stuff we did not need and gave us a lot of pointers. We will most definitely be back in the future.”

“I went into this store for the first time today (6/27/26) and absolutely loved it. We went in to check out the basement, which has pre-loved clothing and gear. It was definitely worthwhile and a super great way to get affordable gear. Our favorite portion was the camping and backpacking area. Alejandro assisted us; he was very helpful in educating both my partner and me on what to look for when buying backpacks. He even measured us and told us about his own experiences, which truly made it feel more personal. Although it was his last day, he is definitely worth mentioning for his sincerity and love for the sport. They buy used gear and clothing that pertain to outdoor activities, which is a great way to receive store credit. We ended up buying a quarter zip and summer hiking pants for a great deal! We were offered a discount on a backpack, but did not end up going with it. Something that really stuck with me was when Alejandro offered the discount; he said it was to help push people to enjoy the outdoors. I really liked that they are willing to be somewhat flexible with the pricing to help people get into outdoor sports. I will be returning to this store in the near future to not only support local but to learn more about backpacking and great local places to enjoy the outdoors!”

For years, I dreamed of becoming scuba certified, and I’m so grateful I chose to take my courses here!! From day one, every instructor and member of the dive staff has empowered me throughout my diving journey, which has now been just over a year.
I initially enrolled in the diving courses as a solo diver and was a little hesitant to take the classes without friends or a dive buddy. But not once have I ever felt alone. This crew welcomed me from the very beginning and made me feel like part of the dive family. And now I’ve made genuine friends and connections… I never worry about finding a dive buddy for the dives or courses.
The instructors are truly top-notch. They take safety incredibly seriously and never cut corners, while creating an environment that’s encouraging, fun, and empowering. Every instructor is so patient, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you not only understand the skills but become a safe, confident (and competent) diver. They somehow manage to make every class enjoyable (there’s always laughter) while never losing sight of the fact that safety always comes first.
What really sets this dive shop apart is the people. They aren’t just instructors… they’re passionate divers who genuinely care about their students and each other. Their professionalism, experience, and teamwork create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable asking questions, challenging yourself, and growing with confidence. There have been times I didn’t feel comfortable- with a skill or lesson… and they are always willing to take things slower so I can learn at my own pace of trust.
If you’ve ever thought about learning to dive but felt intimidated or if you’re a solo diver looking for a dive home… this is the place. This is the community you didn’t know you needed… they will celebrate every milestone with you, and prepare you to be a safe, knowledgeable diver out in the world.

“My girlfriend and I came in for the fit experience and Naccari completely blew us away. He took us both through the foot scanning process and was incredibly insightful, breaking down exactly what our feet needed. He completely changed the game for me by showing me that I've been wearing the wrong shoe size my entire life and that a 4E width was the way to go. He also walked me through the compression socks and insoles, clearly delivering the benefits of everything I tried on. Crucially, he never felt like a shark salesperson—I never felt pressured to close or buy anything on the spot, just genuinely educated. Not only does he really know his stuff, but he’s also incredibly personable and made the whole experience awesome from start to finish. Store leadership needs to give Niccari a massive shoutout—he’s an incredible asset to this team!”

“Okay, I've finally figured out that the reason I can't find Merrell outlets all over Portland is because there are Columbia outlets everywhere, instead. The deals I got here made me just as happy as the deals I'm used to getting at my favorite Merrell outlet in Folsom. I got two pairs of waterproof nonslip boots for work-- one Columbia and one Sorel-- both for $55. I had almost purchased a similar pair of Columbia boots at DSW for $70 a few days ago, so I ended up being so glad I held out for a better deal. They had so many good deals at this outlet, it was literally overwhelming. They had an entire floor of clearance Columbia and Mountain Hardware jackets. I also noticed a huge selection of PFG gear. I'm not into fishing, but I like their lightweight long sleeve sunblocking shirts.
Customer service was friendly, one of the employees was also a seasonal national park worker, so we ended up talking about that a little bit. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.”

“I stopped in thinking I just needed a pair of insoles and walked out with a whole new understanding of why my knees had been complaining. Megan took the time to really look at what I was wearing and how I was moving, and gently broke the news that my shoes were the real culprit. It turned into one of those unexpectedly helpful, “why didn’t I do this sooner?” moments. I left with a new pair of shoes, pain free knees, and runs that actually feel fun again!

“Cento cycling is a hidden gem for those of local in th PDX area. They have a great selection of great jerseys, bibs, and all sorts of apparel accessories (arm warmers, caps, socks, etc).
They also have items in a large range of prices (unlike many places that either carry only cheapo stuff or only super expensive).
Dahn (pronounced “Don”), the proprietor, is super helpful with choosing the proper fitting in the range of fits that cycling gear is made (i.e. race fit vs classic fit), and which items based on cut and fabric are suited for each.
I have not ordered from them online, but while in the shop , I overheard Dahn giving personal service over the phone to online customers. He was going above and beyond in terms of making sure that they were getting exactly what they wanted and as quickly as possible.”
“I have a rain jacked I've been commuting in, year-round, since 2017 or 18. The zipper started having issues, and I called to ask about a repair. They said bring it in, which I did, this morning. They were able to replace the zipper pull in about 15 minutes, it's working as good as or better than new! I loved my jacket before- also have their waterproof gloves and socks- but I'm a bigger fan than ever now.”

“Located at Clackamas Town Center, the Duck store caters exclusively to the University of Oregon faithful. It's a small store that has a little bit of memorabilia, a good amount of gifts, and a lot of apparel. The selection seems limited but there are nice pieces from time to time. The clearance section is never well stocked and the men's selection can be slim pickings. The children section is pretty decent and has some fun items that work well for babies, and dedicated sections of potential toys for youngins. I found the store to be more useful for small items such as keychains, magnets, and the occasional rare Oregon swag. They also have seasonal items such as socks, hats and sunglasses. A lot of the items found in store can be found also online and can be arranged to be picked up in the store or delivered directly to any address. It's just more fun buying it here because of the no sales tax. Customer service is solid although because of how casual and slow the store is, one might not even notice they're there at all. The parking is shared with the mall parking lot and it's never busy in here. Even though the chances of me walking out of here with something is unlikely, It is still nice to see what they have if I can't find any other duck store in close proximity. Go Ducks!”
“Dropped by for Rebird repair. Monique was very helpful with my repairs. She patched up my favorite thin long sleeve hiking shirt and got my pants ready to ship to Arc’teryx for a more elaborate repair. Cahill and Monique also helped me free my jammed up zippers on my 20+ old Bora pack. Another tall fellow with glasses answered all my questions. The staff warmly greeted me, took care of my repairs and the store had a very thorough inventory, especially their footwear selection. Really grateful for visiting this RAD store.”
