“Dakota is the man. I came here last year for my dad and Dakota helped him find a pair of shoes best for him. When I went back yesterday for myself Dakota was there and remembered me. He was extremely patient and helpful. He was also very knowledgeable about the foot in general. Based on my foot scans, he even gave me some tips to help correct some of the stuff I’m doing wrong when I walk/run. I’ll be going back here any time I need a new pair of running shoes.”
“I have a love/hate relationship with this store...I can't ever go in to just browse. I always find an excuse to get something, so I have to limit my trips so I don't break my budget. With that said, I haven't been to a wide variety of other disc golf stores, however this one seems top notch. They carry a wide variety of brands, even new releases! I have not been disappointed. I am even impressed with their lost disc program where if somebody brings your lost disc to the store, they notify you.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this establishment!”
“so happy to have found this spot! far less clothing will end up in the landfill. found lots of cute items and a present for my bf :)))) customer service was the perfect balance and helpful but not pushy at all. will be back!”
“The entire staff here are upbeat, friendly and extremely helpful. Prices are good and their inventory is always changing which is great. If you're looking for an aftermarket shoe/clothing/memorabilia this is definitely the place!”
“An excellent excellent excellent store. Huge selection. Staff are just absolutely the best and definitely know what they're doing.Every time Ive needed help Ive gotten some wonderful advice and guidance and they truly seemed like they wanted to help me find the best product for my needs instead of just trying to sell me the most expensive. The basement is a wonderful and dangerous place, because its very much a "Ya know, I could use a new [Blank]..." and since its a quality second hand product, it will assuage your consumerist guilt if you're a dweeb like me.”

“Visiting Portland with my trusty Roadini when my devilish cup and cone bottom bracket decided to stop staying snug. They fixed me up and got me rolling again in minutes! Very friendly shop with lots of fun goodies to throw on your bike or your person. Thanks Golden Pliers! That boogie woogie bottom bracket was stressing me out!?”
“Greetings upon walking in. Made to feel comfortable and welcomed. Staff seemed very knowledgeable. They do treadmill gait test and test you in different shoes for fit and feel. Now for the ultimate test - walking without pain.”

“Had a really helpful employee help me find a rain jacket for the rainy season. he knew a lot and got 5 locations off top his head and description of the products.”
“Visited PDX years ago and love supporting small businesses—this place stood out. The ground floor has a well-organized selection of underwear and swimwear that’s easy to browse, while the upstairs offers a more adventurous vibe. If you’re shopping for men’s underwear, this is a solid place to start. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for the quality and selection.”
“I stopped in thinking I just needed a pair of insoles and walked out with a whole new understanding of why my knees had been complaining. Megan took the time to really look at what I was wearing and how I was moving, and gently broke the news that my shoes were the real culprit. It turned into one of those unexpectedly helpful, “why didn’t I do this sooner?” moments. I left with a new pair of shoes, pain free knees, and runs that actually feel fun again!
Safe to say this place has earned a loyal customer. I’ll definitely be back for the rest of my running gear. What a gem.”
“I tried everyone and everywhere back home in two counties, Larry's was recommended to me. I always had blisters, thumb issues etc prior. Now every ball fits the same and no issues. Thank you!”
“Okay, I've finally figured out that the reason I can't find Merrell outlets all over Portland is because there are Columbia outlets everywhere, instead. The deals I got here made me just as happy as the deals I'm used to getting at my favorite Merrell outlet in Folsom. I got two pairs of waterproof nonslip boots for work-- one Columbia and one Sorel-- both for $55. I had almost purchased a similar pair of Columbia boots at DSW for $70 a few days ago, so I ended up being so glad I held out for a better deal. They had so many good deals at this outlet, it was literally overwhelming. They had an entire floor of clearance Columbia and Mountain Hardware jackets. I also noticed a huge selection of PFG gear. I'm not into fishing, but I like their lightweight long sleeve sunblocking shirts.
Customer service was friendly, one of the employees was also a seasonal national park worker, so we ended up talking about that a little bit. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.”
“Great, locally owned running store. Local and nationwide brands, personable staff that will find your perfect running or walking shoe. They host group runs and seasonal training sessions for kids and adults, all paces and experience; check their website for times.”
“Great service and products. Shop local before you go to the big boxes or online. Great selection and experience every time. I've been getting sports equipment here my entire life pretty much!”
“Couldn't find Tono Dinamo bibs anywhere till I came across Cento. Very nice knowledgeable staff. I bought 4 pair and they shipped them up to Canada next day. Great store. Great selection.”
“Absolutely solid guys to work with! I needed a set of dumbbells 5-50lb and they even included a rack. Called him and got an immediate quote, confirmed the items with some photos and had everything picked up and loaded in my car same day. 10/10 recommend Carlos and his team.”
“I'm new to the boating community in Portland and recently became acquainted with Sexton's. Joe, Marty and Sara are not only helpful, but just cool to talk to. They have experience with and knowledge of everything they carry in store, and probably everything they don't, as it relates to boats. Great experience each time. Go here if you need something for your boat!”
“Today was my first time visiting the store and it went incredibly well! I am a novice runner that already suffers from plantar fasciitis, and the Sales Rep truly took his time explaining things and showing me several viable options best suited for me. I’m truly excited about my new purchase and I absolutely can’t wait to hit the local track soon!! ???”
“An absolutely delightful shop. We stumbled upon other worlds, games and comics on a whim after having breakfast just down the building at Gigi's Cafe. It was free comic book day! I'm not a comic book person but told personnel my interests in things like video games and movies and they were able to direct me to the perfect comics for me! And now I'm hooked! Whether you're already a comic fan or you're looking for a new hobby, I cannot recommend Other Worlds Games and Comics more! They are absolutely fantastic.”
“Went in for new running shoes. I know absolutely zero about running except I'm terrible at it. A young man named Riley helped me. He was knowledgeable and professional. It was a 5star experience. He alone will be the reason I return to do business! Great store!”

“I have a rain jacked I've been commuting in, year-round, since 2017 or 18. The zipper started having issues, and I called to ask about a repair. They said bring it in, which I did, this morning. They were able to replace the zipper pull in about 15 minutes, it's working as good as or better than new! I loved my jacket before- also have their waterproof gloves and socks- but I'm a bigger fan than ever now.”
“Andy The owner is a straight up gentleman, super helpful and friendlyIf you have the opportunity to take a class. With him for judo or jiu jitsu you will not be disappointed.Great little shop. Always my first choice in town for my judo gear”
“Went in here to get some disks so I can start playing. The guy at the counter was freaking awesome and really helped me out picking disks and a bag. I will be back when I inevitably lose the disks I bought!”
“I have not purchased anything as a customer (yet). HOWEVER, I happened to lose my wallet outside of the store. The employees went through great lengths to contact me and return it safely. SO SO APPRECIATED! I am definitely a loyal customer now. 10/10.”
“Needed a reliable water proof jacket to keep me dry! Found one that I liked with the help of the friendly knowledgeable staff. Paris a fairly high price , because good quality costs money!”
“Huge thank you to Dan and Gabriel for supporting me on problem solving a zipper issue with me and ultimately helping with a warranty replacement. Big thanks to Sage and Noah for your kind demeanor and time spent with me picking out a replacement jacket. The customer service at this store and the company standing by their product makes me want to buy more gear. From one dirtbag who spends as much time as possible in the mountains I appreciate your warranty support today helping me get the value of the money I spent on your product.”
“Great store fairly well stocked shoe department...it's hard to get stock for many businesses these days. My wife and son love the BIig 5 Denali brand footwear. This location had more styles of Denali in stock then others closest to us. The employees here are friendly and helpful when you need assistance. Only complaint is these Stupid tariffs have really pushed up the price of shoes, boots and free weights! :-(
Not their fault...we know it was ole Teflon windbag!”
“Very nice greeting at the door. Very nicely greeted. They still don’t carry men’s which they should! Inventory choices were great, but not in order on the racks. Had to search for sizes. Seems crazy with the numbers and employee that they have.
People on the floor are awesome. Very helpful putting outfits together. Couldn’t have asked for a better representation of the company.
Just need men’s!”
“I needed to string one of my older rackets and a friend recommended this place to me. Anthony was extremely kind and knowledgeable about everything related to strings - he gave me very helpful suggestions regarding which would be the best string options, tension for my racket.
The entire experience was easy and convenient for me as a customer. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to string your rackets.”
