“I was in Newport for Spring Break (2025) and had scheduled some maintenance on our Jeep Grand Cherokee with Rick. Not minor maintenance either. He went through everything meticulously and did a great job. The Jeep now runs like it did the day we bought it new. The next day, our son's Nissan Xterra started acting up. Rick got it right in, diagnosed it quickly and had it back on the road that evening. Rick is an excellent mechanic, I won't take my cars to anyone else (as long as I can get them over there) it's a 9 hour drive for me! Thanks Rick!”
“I contacted the owner with my concerns regarding the "Check Engine Light" and my car bucking when accelerating. He promptly scheduled me for an appointment at 8AM the following day. I requested a tune up at the same time since it had been over a year since the last one. An hour after I dropped my car off the owner, Rick Herbert called and said the problem was diagnosed and would be ready for me to pick up the following morning. He also added that the car DIDN'T need a tune up, the plugs and plug wires were fine and the engine was running according to specs. A less than honest mechanic would have put new plugs and wires on and charged me for a tune up which I didn't need. I was more than pleased with the total car care provided by this business.”
“We've used Auto Doctors for several years, starting with our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country! The AC went belly up, after a quick diagnosis, they informed us what the problem was with pricing! They completed the repair on time and no extra charge. Next, we had the struts and shock absorbers replaced on time, no extra charge. They thought they were going to have to replace the wiper motor and was able to reset to the factory settings! Today they replaced the thermostat in an hours time. We highly recommend Auto Doctors, thank you Jade and Ty!!!Oh by the way, it's worth the drive from Lincoln City to Newport!”

“First, a little backstory, which will make sense a little bit later. We purchased a preowned Mazda CX5 from Damian Lillard Toyota in McMinnville-we live in Newberg-on Thursday, the 13th of November. We had made plans to come to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving weekend and were headed to Yachats on Thanksgiving day, and we were passing through Newport when we decided we wanted lunch. We stopped at Taste of India (delicious!)and when we got out of the car I noticed our right front tire was almost flat. Crap! Mind you it was storming like crazy, really blowing. Thankfully there is a Chevron next door and after lunch we filled the tire. It went as well as you might imagine, hubby got the hose stretched out to the tire, I had to figure out how to hold the debit card up to the machine (in a gale, don’t forget)so that it would read it- the magnetic stripe reader didn’t work, tap only. Him: I told you not to start it yet!” Me: I’m trying to get it to read the card! Typical spousal bickering. We get the tire back to driving shape and we headed on to Yachats, checked the tire upon arrival and it had lost 5-6 lbs of pressure already. We’ve got a problem! Nothing open, don’t forget.The plan was made to bring it back to Sunwest first thing the next morning. Did I mention these tires are brand new Yokohamas that Lillard’s put on to sell the car? Two weeks ago?! Next morning Ken heads to Sunwest and the service department got the vehicle in right away, discovered a damaged valve stem (likely from the mounting procedure) and fixed it promptly. The technician went ahead and checked all the tires, as well, giving me piece of mind. Shout out to the technician that worked on the red CX5, and to Liz and the rest of the crew for helping us out and getting our vehicle back on the road for our weekend away. We really appreciate it!”

“I took my car to 7th Lion after two other places barely glanced at the damage and said I was better off totaling it. But this car is otherwise in great shape, low miles, and a manual (which isn't easy to find anymore). Isaac actually took the time to talk through what I wanted (a safe, functional car) and what I didn't need (cosmetic details like a perfect paint match). I guess everywhere else just assumed I'd be horrified to drive a car with two different styles of headlights, but what can I say? I'm just not that fussy. Isaac found affordable parts to make it all possible on a tight budget. His quote was significantly less than everyone else, and he went above and beyond to help me get back on the road. I couldn't recommend 7th Lion enough.”
